Norman Frede Chevrolet

After moving to Houston, we looked at several different dealerships, and Norman Frede Chevrolet was by far the best. We purchased our leased vehicle there last year, and just recently bought a new vehicle. Julio expertly handled our lease purchase, and we worked with Kyle Scheck to purchase a new car. As a former teacher, I was excited to learn that Kyle had also been a teacher. He made the process of buying this new car so much easier and more pleasant than any other dealership we have ever experienced. We will definitely continue recommending Norman Frede to all of our friends and colleagues here in Houston!

Went to buy a Chevrolet Colorado .

They pulled a bait and switch on me. And hog tied me into buying a truck I can't stand. And yes I did say NO. But somehow they still sold it to me

Paid $45,000.00 for a 2020 Silverado, got SiriusXM information package and mailing information at time of sale , only to find that truck radio didn’t have app.on it. Reached out to several employees at Norman Frede Chevrolet. Reply , $300.00 to have app. installed on radio.Staff was nice in advising me. Best Car Buying Experience

Hands down the best car buying experience I have ever had!!! Kyle was awesome to work with! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The sales manager was fantastic and offered great advice. They were able to work me the perfect deal! I was in and out with my new car in less than 2hrs! I would 1,000,000% recommend buying from Norman Frede Chevrolet! OH! I also met Mr Norman Frede himself! He’s a great guy and great to talk to! The experience of buying from a family owned dealership versus a corporate dealership is night and day! I will NEVER buy from a corporate dealership again!

Oil Change

Had reservation but was not on file; appointment stated a set price but was charged more, it was adjusted. Tire repair was not made, nor was tires rotation completed. Firestone repaired the tire (2 screws)

Typical used car salesmen

Ana and JB at Norman Frede are your typical used car salesmen. They use all the same tricks that make people nervous when buying a car. I just don’t like being lied to when making a large investment, and I bet you don’t either. If they tell you they’re not like the ‘bigger dealerships’ in town, be cautious, it’s a bait and switch scheme. They had me wait a month until they had a Tahoe available, promising they would honor my supplier discount when inventory arrived, which was just a lie so I wouldn’t buy from Mac Haik Chevy in the mean time, which is the ‘bigger dealership’ in town who has more inventory. They touted how being smaller, meant they were more customer oriented, more inclined to offer better pricing, and would honor supplier discounts, they specifically told me this. So After a month and not buying from Mac Haik, Frede says we now have a Tahoe to sell, but no supplier discount will be given to you. They thought I would play into their hands and trickery, probably accept the situation as-is after waiting a month, and just buy the Tahoe, but I don’t do business with crooks. So I’m telling you now, coming from just a regular middle-aged, middle-class Texan in League City, Norman Frede is your typical used car dealership, keep that in mind if you visit them. Look for the signs.

WORST AND MOST DECEITFUL SERVICE EVER

I was in a car accident in late January in my 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The fault was of the other driver. I chose to bring my car here for service because this is where I have always brought my car for service for the past 6 years. Even my prior vehicle which was my 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. This was my first car accident ever. "Pete" in Service released the car to me once it was done and I was good to go. It was to my knowledge it was all taken care of by the idiot's car insurance company that hit me. WRONG!!!! They decide to call me ONE MONTH LATER to tell me I owe the dealership $1000 dollars or they are going to take LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ME. Apparently the insurance company sent ME (not the dealership) a check that I was supposed to give to the dealership for payment on my car, even though the dealership had already been paid $11,000 thousand dollars for the repairs. Pardon my ignorance, but this being my first accident, I had no idea. No one from either party informed me of this. PETE from SERVICE calls me A MONTH LATER after the car had already been released back to me to tell me that I owed them $1000 for the repairs and that if I did not pay them legal action would be taken against me. Mind you this happened March 26 after I had just found out I lost my job due to the Coronavirus pandemic, WHICH I TOLD THEM! (They laughed about it). So I called WALTER who is supposedly the "service manager" to let him know of the circumstances and to see what could be done. I told him I am a man of my bills and always pay my debts. I had full intentions to pay my debts. I had no idea I owed them anything. THEY RELEASED THE CAR TO ME!! I told him I did not have the money to pay him and WALTER's response was "WELL YOU CAN JUST BRING ME YOUR CAR AND WE CAN KEEP POSSESSION OF IT UNTIL YOU CAN PAY US" are you kidding me? How disgusting. I begged him to speak with the owner because I was even willing to work out a payment plan but he refused to call me back and I had to show up in person. I ended up having to borrow money from a family member because I was mis-guided by their DISGUSTING terrible service department. When I showed up to speak to him about it in person he could not even look me in the eye and speak to me directly and instead pushed me off to his poor secretary in the front who had nothing to do with it and had to take the brunt of my frustration. WALTER (who again is supposedly the service manager) told me it was my fault and that I should have known I owed this balance. How disgusting. My family of 6 and I have all taken our cars here for service for 10 plus years and I can GUARANTEE that we will NEVER EVER bring ANY business to this DISGUSTING dealership again. WALTER AND PETE HAVE DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and you as Dealership should be ashamed. And then whenever I FINALLY CAME and paid in full he was scrambling in his office because I asked for a simple paid in full receipt. Scam artists. Terrible. And to treat someone like this after they just lost their job due to a nation wide pandemic?? Pathetic. What a horrible excuse for dealership. I will take my business to CLASSIC in GALVESTON where they actually have morals. Disgusting!! TOTALLY DISGUSTING. Whoever the owner of Norman Frede is should be ashamed.

The facts are our Collision representative explained before you picked up your vehicle that the $1,000 payment from insurance company was still owed and that the check may come directly to you or the dealership. You said you understood. After looking into this matter further, the $1,000 check had been cashed or deposited into your account 2 days prior to us having that conversation. Absolutely wonderful

My experience was absolutely amazing eveything from the lot to the salesman and management were excellent. i came in just to shop but with the help of bobby i was actually able to find the perfect used chevy. Will recommend to anyone in the market!
