Car Service Review at Greenway Mercedes, Houston

Outstanding experience from the time you drop-off your car until you drive away with your repaired vehicle. The service advisor, Jerry, was very knowledgeable and able to explain and prioritize the repairs. The predicted costs were as forecasted. The only frustration ( not the dealer?s fault) was the long delay needed by the warranty company rep to come and approve the repairs. Everything else was world class. The challenge I see for this facility is to maintain this level of service without pricing themselves out of the market. As of now, they set the service standard!

Beware.

After finding a vehicle online located at a Mercedes Benz Houston at Greenway we were contacted by Mr. Morales to set-up a time to view/test drive the vehicle. This was a very smooth process. We verbalized that we would like to move forward with running financing options and, after five minutes, Mr. Morales came back with a statement of interest rates and payment amounts stating specifically "this is the interest rate and payment amount you would pay." We agreed and my husband signed the document. I then had to leave to get my son and my husband stayed at the dealership. We specifically told Mr. Morales that I was leaving and he assured that the process would be relatively quick from this point. That was at approx 2:30 pm. My husband did not return to our home until after 8 pm that evening. During that time this is what occurred: He started the finance process wherein the interest rate all of the sudden for the vehicle more than doubled. When my husband questioned the finance member, he started a "cat and mouse" game with the sales associate (Mr. Morales) of coming in and out of the area one at a time to try and explain why this was happening. My husband had to literally ask both of them to stay in the office at the same time. The finance associate then tried to instead sell my husband a Mercedes car because, and I quote "he is at a Mercedes dealership and he is trying to buy a non-Mercedes product." My husband reiterated that we came to this dealership only because they had the vehicle we are interested in and because it is an auto nation dealership to specifically avoid the run-around of the skeevy buying experience. After declining, the general manager came to speak. The general manager re-iterated the "Mercedes-Benz" would be the only product line that would get my husband a reasonable interest rate. After my husband firmly declined and set-up and I headed to get him the finance department was then "magically" able to come down to the originally agreed on interest rate and payment amount. It was an incredibly awful purchase experience.
