DO NOT trust their service department.
DO NOT trust their service department. They missed letting me know about a huge nail in the middle of my tire until 8 days after my service appointment when they sent me an email stating “we had recommended changing the tire due to a nail, but you had declined.” And this has happened multiple No one in the service department or management would acknowledge their mistakes/lack of communication. I do not trust my safety in my car with their care. Avoid this dealership.

If I could give a 0, I would. They are deceitful and dishonest and lack communication skills and professionalism . We had a signed contract to buy a car for my 16yo. The contract spelled out that the headlight needed to be fixed. We waited a week and called to check on a completion date & to set pickup time & they said they were taking it to auction. No one communicated that to us. We have left multiple messages and no call back from General Manager. No explanation. Imagine how disappointed my 16 year old is! He is more professional than this dealership! They couldn’t even make a call to tell him. Birthday ruined! Fraudulent practices!

Pathetic.
Pathetic. If I could give McGrath Hyundai zero stars, I would. They tack on a 3% “service charge” for all credit card transactions, which is basically a junk fee on top of already expensive service. To make it worse, they don’t accept Zelle or any kind of lower-cost bank transfer, so you’re stuck either paying the fee or scrambling for another payment method. In 2025, that’s ridiculous. On top of that, the service manager never returned a single one of my calls during the five days my car was in their shop. No proactive updates, no returned voicemails, nothing. I had to chase them just to find out what was happening with my own car. Between the extra fees and the complete lack of communication, this place has lost my business. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend McGrath Hyundai to anyone who values transparency or basic customer service.

I had a HORRIBLE experience today at Hyundai.
I had a HORRIBLE experience today at Hyundai. I was slighted by Cristiana who took over Ed Vallega place. She was RUDE and inconsiderate. It was as if she “white privilege” catering to the White girl who came in after me; she ignored my issue. I arrived at 7:45 am. They took my car to the back for an oil change. Cristinia flew passed me and looked over me to appease the white girl. I had to come to the front to find out about my car. Then she had this guy in her office and she tells me you can come in while the guy is sitting there (no privacy at all). I am blown away "like where is my xxxx car?". She stated, There's some problems and work that needs to be done, “when was you going to tell me_ at this point, "I am furious", and I started to feel overlooked. I stormed out to go speak with a manager and i knocked on the door and a hispanic girl came out in a Halloween costume, “YELL” at me. I asked her who do you think you talking to in that tone?, It escalated. I NEVER got a manager; the issues were never resolved. I’m taking my car to get a second inspection because I don't believe they did the work. The air tire light I came in about is still on. IT WAS HALLOWEEN FOR REAL WITH ALL THE WEIRD BEHAVIOR GOING ON!!! SO DISRESPECTFUL - ED VALLEGA would NEVER had treated me this way. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN TREATMENT AND BEHAVIOR OF THE STAFF

never buy a car from this group they are out right liars its a den of thieves After negotiating on a price for a car i asked for the out the door price with out a trade in sales woman texted me the out the door price on the car i agreed and said i will be by to do the paper work when i arrived she was off that day so manger sent me to another sales person and he tried to sell me the car at 8k over our agreed price after showing him the text he said it was a misunderstanding .The car was listed for 28k i agreed to pay that out the door no misunderstanding just thieves man stay away .I walked out

DO NOT use this dealership for service or believe anything they say! I wish I would have read the previous comments about their service department prior to taking my car in but it was the closest dealer and I figured the McGrath brand still had value. They had our vehicle for over a month after telling us that we would have it back in 3-5 days (which is another reason we used them), and along the way DOUBLED our charges from the initial estimate. Good luck getting in contact with the service manager and your technician after they have your vehicle (they will never pick up), and don’t bother leaving a message as they will not call you back as previously stated in other complaints. Bottom line is this place is a TOTAL xxxxshow and I can’t believe the McGrath brand is associated with it. Mike Sr. would have never let this slide.

Took my vehicle to McGrath City Hyundai for recommended
Took my vehicle to McGrath City Hyundai for recommended service for transmission flush. My car immediately started experiencing declaration and stalling while in drive likes it's in the wrong gear, revving up while driving and many more problems. I called McGrath City Hyundai aniut the problem and was told I have to let the fluid work through the system and then it will be ok. About 3wk after this service I'm still having these issues, but now i see fluid on my garage floor when backing out. I immediately took my vehicle to a hyundai dealership closest to my home and found out that the transmission service performed on my vehicle, they over filled the transmission and fluid was leaking out on all parts under the hood. Now it's unsafe to drive. I contact McGrath to inform them of the latest issues and was on hold for 40+mins before the customer service girl came back on the line to tell me they cannot get my vehicle in for over 2mos, and that is the best they could do. Unacceptable to me I contacted Hyundai Corporate to file a complaint. They told me their process is to reach out to McGrath City Hyundai to discuss the problem and resolution. After 3wk of Hyundai corporate trying to reach McGrath, McGrath City Hyundai never responded to Corporate by email or phone. McGrath never took accountability for damaging my vehicle. Now that my engine and transmission has been damaged, not to mention other parts that are damaged they still have not taking accountability. I intend to take all and any steps necessary to ensure that they are held accountable. I see why so many consumer are stepping away from Hyundai vehicles, and going to Toyota and Nissan, and for good reason. I myself will never buy another Hyundai. This was my 3rd Hyundai vehicle and the last. I am totally shocked and disappointed with Hyundai.

Bait and switch! They dropped the online price of a used car and then added 7,000 in “non-negotiable” fees!! Wow, I said. “Sounds like you don’t want to sell this car at the advertised price.” We’re underwater on it, was the response. Well at least THAT was honest. The online “no surprises” cost estimate was very very different from their big surprise actual offer. 0/5 stars for honesty.
