I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Field
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Field Motors in Lakeland, Florida, particularly with Ron Bigler, the Mercedes Benz Sprinter van representative, and Mic Romero, the General Manager. Despite being an out-of-state buyer eligible for Florida’s tax exemption program, they outright refused to honor the program. In addition, I was overcharged for Florida’s taxes and had to fight for a refund of the overcharge. To make matters worse, they also charged me for Florida title and registration fees, even though it was known that the vehicle was never going to be registered in Florida—it was going to be titled in Alaska. They provided misleading and incorrect information, claiming that I was required to use a shipping company to remove the vehicle from Florida in order to avoid taxes. This claim was not only false but also contradicted the actual process, which allows for vehicle titling and registration upon arrival in Alaska, as long as I had proper insurance coverage for the journey. The most egregious issue came when they refused to provide the Assignment of Rights documentation for the tax refund application, making the process unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. I had to escalate the matter by contacting the Florida Department of Violations, the Department of Revenue, and the owner of Field Motors before they finally begin to address the situation. In addition, they altered my purchase price and paperwork from the time of the initial full payment to the pickup, which was a week later. This is a clear indication of dishonesty and lack of transparency in their business practices. If you plan to purchase a vehicle from Field Motors, I strongly advise you to thoroughly review every line item of the paperwork in advance, as they cannot be trusted to provide accurate or consistent documentation. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. I hope others can avoid the same pitfalls and find more reputable dealerships that value their customers' time, money, and trust.

Poor Customer Service Counter
When I got to the dealership to retrieve my vehicle, the lady at the counter gave me the wrong paperwork and the wrong car keys. She just went straight asking just for the last name and not confirming any other information, right after that, I paid for what I thought it was my service, however, the lady at the counter gave me the wrong paperwork and the wrong car keys after I paid, that meaning that she made pay for someone else's service, I mean, what kind of professionalism is that? right after I found out that it was not my vehicle and neither my service I spoke to the lady at the counter and "voided" the transaction, however my bank institution handles the voiding process differently therefore I would not get my money back right away. After such thing, she gave me the correct paperwork for me to pay, however, she was acting like nothing happened and giving me a fake apology about it. The attitude was not right on her. You have to verify the customer's information before giving away a vehicle after a service. This is not a fast food chain, is a Mercedes Benz dealership. Thankfully my advisor Laura took care of the situation. Thankfully I was provided with a discount in regards to the inconvenience, but I do not think I would drive again 45 minutes to the dealership for this kind of situations.

Time management, communication with the costumer
The day I sent my car with the towing company (March 22nd) I was told by the dealership that I was going to get my vehicle back within the next day (March 23rd). This was not the case, because when I called the next day I was told that my car was when my vehicle was supposed to be ready some time the day of (March 23rd) which I never got a call back or e-mail or notification in any way that the car was ready. The car ended up being ready on March 24rth. I was trusting the dealership on the time management situation as I did not have a vehicle for two days (almost 3) and I had to handle my own business with no transportation, but the time management was not quite accurate

Exemplary Customer Service with Katherine
just now NEW Dec 23rd my check engine light illuminated. It was after business hours so I was screwed for the Christmas weekend and without a vehicle until Tuesday. First thing on Tuesday I took a chance and drove to Fields MB hoping they would take me without an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly (big smile) and told me not to worry Katherine would help me. Katherine was wonderful. I walked her through the issues. She told she would have a tech connect my car to the computer and see what what was going on. I stepped out to have a fast breakfast nearby. When I returned Katherine greeted me and told me my car was ready and that my check engine light went off. She stated that there wasn’t anything on the computer and the car is fine. She added if the check engine light comes on again to bring the car right in.The even nice news Katherine informed me there wasn’t a charge. From the time that I came into the dealership at reception and throughout the experience with Katherine I was treated with a high level of importance. This is not the first time that I was treated with exceptional service at Fields. Fields is the best and I highly recommend Fields.

Horrible Service
My horrible experience with the service manager (Rick Green) and his department is multi-faceted, and the GM has attempted to "mend" our relationship. However, I don't need someone to "validate" my assessment; I need them to take action. Since I am taking the matter higher up, I will simply note the service manager refused to show me the computer diagnostic results but would only summarize them. I'd had a previous negative experience and wanted PROOF the $1,600 service was needed. He ultimately showed me AFTER the repair was done. He also noted the computed showed I had a bulb out and that the alarm wasn't working. He didn't ask if I wanted either addressed. I felt bullied, harassed, and insulted. The SM continued to verbally try to prove he was right, and I asked no fewer than SIX times for him to leave me alone. After I gave the service person MY credit card, and after I signed the tablet, he handed me MY credit card, but he handed my husband the receipt. I will never get back those 5 hours, and I will drive to Orlando for future repairs.

Excellent customer service! I was able to get my vehicle in for service in one day. Parts were available and I was able to wait while the maintenance was performed. I even added on some additional services last minute and they were able to accommodate while I waited. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, offered to provide a complimentary vehicle so I didn’t have to wait, and even installed one of the accessories I purchased the day I was in. Katie was fantastic!

Dustin has been my service advisor for years. I’ve followed him from a previous dealership to his current location and will follow him anywhere he goes. I’ve always been able to rely on him to be honest, direct and reliable. They tell you one thing and do another in service. They do not communicate with you, tell you car to be repaired under service contract purchased at dealer then do not do it return car unfueled as stated it would be done. Do not stand behind their vehicles I would not purchase another car from them.

Not happy with my first visit to the Service Depar
Left new car less than 500 miles late Friday, was told , they would not work on it until Monday, fine. I was expecting a call on Monday to advise what problem was found and when I could expect it to be repaired. I never got a call, and the car was there over a week. Makes me think I should have stayed in a Cadillac.
