Write a reviewA pleasant surprise
I found the exact car I wanted ('07 Mini Cooper) online at Murphy's at a very reasonable price. I was a little hesitant at first since it was a small used car dealer in the NYC area, but the price came down some more and I couldn't resist such a great deal. I was certainly glad I did. Andrew was great to work with - very straightforward and accomodating since I was out-of-town (Upstate NY). We worked out payment & delivery arrangements that would accomodate my schedule and everything went smoothly as planned. The car was exactly as described - no problems, no drama. After we got the car home, we noticed there were a couple of items missing (eg. factory jack) and they were promptly sent to me when I mentioned them to Andrew during his call to me to make sure everything was OK! A few days later, I discovered a minor mechanical issue that was covered under warranty. This was taken care of professionally and in a way to accomodate me since I was out-of-town. Overall, an excellent experience that shows there are still honest small used car dealers out there (even in the NYC area!).

Small dealership, Great service.
I was on the market for a cheap car, so being on tight budget is not easy to find something good. After shopping for a while and spent countless hours to find a cheap but yet reliable solution I contacted murphy's. Andrew replied to all my questions and concerns and was really helpful throughout the whole deal. He even agreed to perform a complete tune up on discount with garage he works with and prepare my new car for the winter. Keep up the good job and you won a loyal customer!

Great Car and Great Service
I asked Andrew to hold the vehicle for me as I was coming from out of state to view it. He honored his word, and after taking a test drive and performing my own thorough inspection, decided I wanted to purchase it. We came to a fair deal, and Andrew is an honest and pleasant person to work with. He communicated very well throughout the process. You don't find many used car dealers like him anymore.

show me the CARFAX, updated one please
this review is for 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quatro, VIN # WAULC68E33A176107, which i purchased in January from Murphy's (Eugine) & Eid. My brother Rasim just got an Audi A6 from them, a week before, and they stated that they will have the type of car i'm looking for in couple of days, they were getting it from their friend seller; Korean Doctor lady. They also showed me the CARFAX which i did want to see and it showed that the car was never in an accident, clean record & 1 owner. After the called me that the car was ready i asked them to take the car to the nearby mechanic (5 min) cause i wanted someone professional to look at it and give me their opinion, and yes that inspection was going to be out of my own pocket. Eugene insisted that we take the car to their mechanic which was about 20 min. away and that he was going to pay for the inspection to which i unfortunately said yes. Low and behold when we got there Eugene did not pay for the inspection but looked at me to pay for it, which i did do. after getting the car and taking it to my own mechanic that i have been going to for years i found out that the car needed some parts replaced for the traction control and also an arm on top of the shock absorb. parts and labor with NY inspection and oil change $1200. Then the heat would not work unless the car was moving for a while and then it would kick in (January). Recently i had the problems of the car stalling on me in traffic with the whole dashboard lighting up, as well as car not willing to start for few minutes of trying, my mechanic said nothing is coming on the computer, but engine light and EPC light kept coming on, making the car difficult to operate. BUT THIS IS THE BEST PART: not willing to spend any more money on this car i took it to a new car dealer to see what i can get for it, so i was very surprised when they offer me low amount. i asked why and told them what i wanted to get out it and they showed me the CARFAX, an updated one, which showed that on 11/26/2012 the car was in an accident, involving left front impact with another vehicle; left front primarily damaged. THIS IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE CARFAX THAT Eugene and Eid from Murphy's presented to me prior to selling me the car in January. But wait: you guys first said you are waiting on the car from the seller, but on my second trip you said I WAS DRIVING AND USING THIS CAR FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS AND USING IT AS MY OWN TO GET TO WORK AND HOME (Eugene) which means not only did you know the car was in an accident, YOU were the one that had the accident with the car. Murphy's Motors either showed my an outdated carfax in order to conceal the true record history of the car, or they presented me with an altered and fabricated carfax that they produced themselves, EITHER WAY they knowingly and willingly deceived me into believing that the car was never in an accident. Thanks Eugene, i guess me telling you that i have a newborn baby and i need a safe and reliable car also did not mean anything to you even though my brother had just bought a car from you guys a week before. thats what i call Costumer Appreciation, job well done YOU GOT ME

Please do not feel anyone was out to GET YOU. That was not, is not, and was never the case. However, I don't believe this review is fair. We are being blamed for discrepancies within the CarFax system. We received the car in December (and have proof of that), and at that time, pulled a carfax report on it, which is what we gave to you. It was listed as a 1-Owner vehicle with no accidents as stated by CarFax. That being said, since you have registered the car over 6 months ago, an UPDATED (8/7/13) CarFax still shows it as a ONE-OWNER car: how is that possible? Because CarFax's system is not perfect; things are omitted, missing, and overlooked all the time. We are being blamed basically for CarFax's ability to be 100% perfect and timely with all reportings. I'm sorry this happened and I wish CarFax was more accurate and timely, but I cannot control their system. If there is anything I can do to help, please email me. Thank you.
Great dealer, good deals
This is small-space dealership, not one of those huge places where you can't see the building from the Range Rovers. Which means they have to be good at selecting cars, servicing them, and helping customers. Murphy's goes three-for-three on that, with two home runs and at least a triple. (We bought a used car which was in great condition, so I figure their service has to be excellent. The people who were getting help there appeared to agree.) When we needed to work outside of hours, it was arranged with no problem. Would definitely recommend Murphy's for service as well. Oh, and the car is running great. Even after a couple of long trips, which were not its history.

Audi A6
For a good dealer the distance shouldn't be an issue. I went to this dealer from Brooklyn, NY and first thing what i have asked him is to give me the keys so i could check my car on myself. After the car seemed OK for me, I asked him to take the car to mechanic, Andrew (the person who works here) took a picture of my drivers license and said to me that I can take the car to any mechanic. He showed me the carfax as well without trying to hide any facts from it, where it was stated that car had an accident. After the mechanic inspection and stating the issues with the car (there is no perfect used car) i have made the deal with Andrew very fast, as the responsible dealer he made sure that i have all documents that i need and the buying process was smooth. I am very happy with my Audi A6, it runs perfectly for used car. This dealer lets you to test and to inspect car before you buy it. It builds up the confidence in buying process which I believe is very important if you are spending couple thousands of dollars. I had experience with other dealers and with this one I had best experience, that's why I and my brother after me bought the cars from this dealer.

Great Service
We just purchased a car for our son and Andrew was very helpful. He spent a lot of time talking to us about a particular car, did not pressure us at all and everything he told me on the phone proved true upon arrival and seeing the car in person. He was honest and really worked with us to make sure my son was happy and we were comfortable with our purchase. He gave us a terrific deal and I would definitely recommend Murphy's Motors to anyone and I would use them again.

Thank you Kim, I wish you and your family many years of fun with the Mustang. Thanks again for your business!
nice guys still exist in this industry, go figure!
like most of you out there, we cringe at the term "used car dealer." we brought our daughter here to look at a car and didn't expect much but we were in the area so it was worth a shot. I spoke to Andrew over the phone and he told me the ins and outs of the car we were coming to see. he also emailed me a history report on the vehicle and an "out the door" price so there would be no back and forth haggling. typically, we rolled our eyes at all this but still made the trip (over 100 miles) because we had seen similar cars in the area anyway but Murphy's had one of the best prices. and guess what? believe or not, everything he told me was just about spot-on. car had a minor flaw here and there as was mentioned (nothing serious) and everything checked out. he let us go on a long test drive and never at all pressured us. We took our time alone with the car, drove it, inspected it all around and never had anyone breathing down our neck. When we went back inside, we were expecting the typical dealer games to start, but surprisingly, they didn't. He stuck with everything he had told us, never tried to upsell, even let us do the registration ourselves in order to save money. We had our insurance faxed over in order to get a temporary plate and within 20-30 minutes or so, we drove away with a great car. We purchased an extended warranty for peace of mind but the cost was minimal and it was never forced on us. honestly, i can't recommend this place enough. It's a small, family run outfit and I truly believe they try their hardest to get their cars ready to go as much as possible. don't expect to be going to a huge dealership, like i said, it's a small place and there are only a few people there. I think maybe 1 other person was there when we went. regardless, it was literally a no-pressure, in and out process and we couldn't have been happier. thanks again!

Great dealer
I have recently bought my A4 2003 at this dealer. I was searching for a dealer in the neighborhood but all had very poor quality cars or tried to sell me a garbage at high price. Andrew was simply great, he helped me a lot with this purchase. He was honest and got me a car I exactly wanted within few days. He cleaned and serviced the car for me with no extra cost plus gave 6 months warranty. I went there Saturday and in few hours left with my new car since he also helped to get the insurance done! I highly recommend this dealer to anyone. thanks again!

a great car
The dealer spent more than enough time with us to understand exactly what we were looking for and made sure we got what we wanted. We are extremely pleased with the car we bought.
