Just helped our son buy his first car. We dealt with Shad at Bart’s car store in Columbia city. He was so great to work with. Such an energetic and happy personality. Answered all our many questions and never made us feel pressured. Would highly recommend this location and him if you’re in the market for a vehicle.

They don't care about customers.
My husband and I went to Barts Car store in Columbia City to support the local business instead of going to one of the bigger dealerships. That was my first mistake. Andrew Dickel was our salesman and took care of us very well, so this review in no way reflects on his character. However, our customer service from all other aspects were as bad as they could be. When we were looking at trucks on their car lot, we were shown a recent truck that had just been brought it and still needed detailed/general maintenance. We saw that truck, took it on a test drive and decided we wanted to buy it, with the exception of the items that needed fixed. Those items were listed by Andrew, but apparently the official signed document didn’t state any of the issues that needed to be fixed. That was my second mistake. Considering this was my first truck purchase without my dad (who knew better and knows the ways of car sales). However, I figured, since we had discussed what needed to be fixed on the truck for us to buy it, it would get fixed. We proceeded to sign papers and buy the truck trusting Bart’s would fix everything we listed. We took that truck in THREE SEPARATE TIMES and still the issue was not fixed. One of those times they stated the issue was resolved, we had to jumpstart the truck because it didn’t even start. After their shop was unable to resolve the issue, we took it to our local repair shop where they quickly determined what the issue was, but we had to pay out of pocket because it wasn’t repaired at Barts, and because the agreement we had for Barts to fix it, wasn’t listed on the “official documents” only on a separate piece of paper. Stay far away from Barts car store because they will take advantage of your ignorance. They’re only in it for the profit and couldn’t care less for their customers.

Excellent Buying Experience

dishonest dealer and salesmen
lied twice and threw a fit when I caught them at it, very unprofessional. one salesman pounded hi hand on his desk, threw items and stomped off. if you are looking at the ford fusion, blue 2016 with 69000 some miles on it be aware that the rear brakes need to be replaced, the right rear tire is mismatched and worn to the point of needing to be replaced and the engine has an oil leak. this was not disclosed, sticker on car says their mechanic checked it.

Bart’s Columbia City
Went to a couple car lots and Bart’s price was $4500 less than one of our local lots,so it was worth the drive to save money and our salesman Ryan was very helpful and made the process so easy,very friendly and knowledgeable!

Lied to by salesman
I am a senior citizen, grandmother of 3 and also have 1 great grandchild. My salesman, Brandon, from the Columbia City Barts Auto lot lied to me a number of times when I bought a vehicle. Horrible way to treat a customer just to make a sale. I trusted his word but was taken advantage of. His answer to all this was basically an “oh well”. I highly recommend to avoid this company and find a reputable company that values honesty. This company does not and I wish I could give them less than one star.
