I understand that car dealerships are in business to make

I understand that car dealerships are in business to make the most money they can to maximize their profits. They don’t take to kind to customers not playing alone with their set agenda. The first question I asked was what’s the out the door price for the vehicle. Skyler started asking me about a down payment, financing and information about a trade-in vehicle. I again asked him about the out the door price. I also let him know that we were not interested in financing because we were going through our bank which offered a great rate already. As far as a trade in we could discuss that possibility after we receive the out the door offer. He then said that if we were considering trading in our vehicle could their used car person look it over so we could at least get a ballpark figure on what we could receive in trade in value for the vehicle. I agreed (big mistake) I should’ve held firm to my original position. Lol their out the door offer was $62,342.02 and that included the value of our vehicle😳. I politely and swiftly declined. He asked me what did we have in mind. I told him 54 possibly 55k. He told me there’s no way that could happen. So after a bit of back and forth I told him $57,500 and not a half a cent more. Thank god I didn’t let on about the cash we had towards the down payment. ($10k) Nevertheless Big Rick Lane rejected that offer and sent poor Skyler back with a final offer of $58,3??.??. We declined and thanked Skyler for his time. THEN….Skyler Benson got caught in a lie about shredding a quote with my father-in-law‘s signature on it. He refused to retrieve the paperwork from Rick Lane’s office. According to him, he watched Rick put it in a shredder. Which I knew was a lie. So I went directly into Rick’s office and retrieved the paper myself. I asked Skyler why did he tell me he could not retrieve the paperwork back because it had already been shredded? The look on his face was priceless when he said he had no answer for that question….Needless to say the deal was dead. The kicker is we went to Car Pros Kia in Tacoma and purchased the exact same vehicle a 2025 Wolf Grey SX X Line AWD for get this $54,514. I paid an extra $1200 and some change for 2 oil changes per year for the lifetime of the vehicle. I’m very good at reading people and I could already tell Rick Lame could care less if we did business with Kia in Puyallup or not. That’s why we took our business elsewhere….and to Skyler Benson never say never. That $55k offer was solid and got my wife the exact vehicle she wanted. You just weren’t able to close and missed out on a commission. Big Thanks to Mo at Car Pros Kia in Tacoma Wa. This guy is a solid closer. His customer service stills are through the roof. Very professional and a joy to work with. I definitely would not mind doing business with him again in the future.

Deceptive sales practices and dishonest salesperson!

Deceptive sales practices and dishonest salesperson! The evening before I drove there, we had agreed on the trade in price for my vehicle ( 2016 Soul), with the agreement that the price of the vehicle I was interested in was flexible ( 2021 Soul) , but when I arrived the next morning, he tried to lower the offered amount. I was told the evening before by this salesman he looked up the rim size on the 2021 and they are 18" the same as my 2016,so I could keep my rim/spare from the 2016, that was a lie, so I lost the value of the rim/tire $140.00. I was told the resale value of my 2016 was only $9-10,000, so they could not offer me any more on my trade-in, but then they listed it at $13,4000 and sold it within 1 week, $6000 more than what they gave me on trade-in value. I test drove the 2021 and immediately noticed it pulled in the front end, the salesman kept saying it was "just because of the lower shoulder" but it kept doing it on a flat surface, he finally admitted there was an issue and said he would get it into the shop when we arrived back at the dealership, even though I asked him 3 times, it was never taken back to the shop. **This was a certified pre-owned vehicle that should have had a full bumper-to-bumper inspection, which I was told adds $1000 to the value of the 2021. While negotiating the purchase price of the 2021,he said the dealership would pay for the license/tag fee of $1000, another reason why they could only give me $7500. for the 2016, that was another lie, I paid it. I was told there were no additional fees like the $200 document fee, that was a lie, I was charged the $200. After quite a long time of negotiating, we agreed on a purchase price, the salesman walked the offer up to his manager and came back saying they had accepted it, but they could not get the 2021 into the shop that day, I would have to return back for repairs that week! I was sent back to sign paperwork, it was a cash/credit card deal,( I was told the previous evening by phone with this salesperson the dealership could not accept the payment in full by credit card because it would cost them $1000. in CC fees, so I ran to the bank for cash) another lie, the balance after trade-in was only $13,000. I fully admit, I did not read the documents that I was signing, after being there for hours, I was exhausted and had a sick dog to get back to. Later that day I received a text that the salesman forgot to give me the second set of keys, so I had to drive back 1 ½ hours the next day because the manager said they could not overnight FedEx them. I reviewed the purchase agreement the following morning and I saw the purchase amount was not what we agreed on, I immediately contacted him, and was told the amounts were correct, so I contacted the manager. Who agreed some of the sales tactics and that the salesman used his personal phone to text me was not good. I then had to drive back that week for the front-end issues, finally they told me it was fixed, I left and again immediately felt it was still pulling, so had to turn around and return for another repair, this should not happen on a certified pre-owned car. Everything I have written about has been sent to the owner, including screenshot communications with the salesman, and copies of the papers where notes were taken about the purchase price, license/tag fees etc.in hopes of resolving this and bringing attention to deceptive business practices by the salesman. The owner's response was "I'm sorry you feel you had a negative experience" and "you agreed on the price" I lost the value of the tire $140., I paid the doc fee $200, I overpaid for the 2021, and I lost $6000. on the resale of the 2016. This complaint is more about t they take advantage and lie to people, than the money that I lost or overpaid, and they won't take any accountability. KIA corporate only gives this dealership a B rating, which is the lowest rating there is.

This was my first time purchase with Kia of Puyallup, but

This was my first time purchase with Kia of Puyallup, but second Kia. Mr Drayton was very easy to work with and explained how the Costco buying program worked. He listened to what features were important and ones that were not. He scoured his inventory and all other dealer in Washington and finally found the correct fit for my price. Mr. Drayton was professional and still made me feel like I was working with a dear friend. Never did I feel rushed or pressured to add features. It was such a stressless buying experience. I highly recommend Kia of Puyallup, but I especially recommend Mr. DeSean Drayton. Thank you DeSean.

This is the second car I have purchased from this

This is the second car I have purchased from this dealership! The experience was wonderful and I highly recommend this dealership! I bought my first Kia 13 years ago and have really appreciated the continued support with that car so I naturally I went back to purchase my new one. Chris was great in showing me the different models and Scott Clyburn was exceptional in helping me purchase the vehicle! I have recommended this dealership for the last 13 years to anyone interested in buying Kia.

I am very dissatisfied with KIA of Puyallup.

I am very dissatisfied with KIA of Puyallup. We were impacted by a headlight recall that has left us without working headlights for 2 months, despite multiple visits and phone calls. I not only bought my vehicle here, but I also purchased an extended warranty. I recommend staying away from KIA of Puyallup. • August 17th: I made an appointment for an oil change and recalls, with the soonest available date being September 27th. • September 27th: I went to Kia for the oil change and recalls. They fixed all recalls except for the headlights, which required parts. After this appointment, I discovered that your high beams no longer worked, and no employee informed me about this issue. • October 15th: I called Kia to check on the status of the parts. They informed me that the parts had arrived the day before and scheduled your next appointment for October 29th. • October 29th: I went to Kia to get the headlights fixed with the new parts. After waiting for 4 hours, I was told that the new parts would not work and that new headlights needed to be ordered. I left with headlights that still did not have working high beams. • November 13th: I called Kia of Puyallup to check on the status of the parts for the headlights. They informed me that one headlight had arrived, but they were still waiting for the second one. The parts department was unable to expedite the order due to system restrictions. I was told they would call me when the parts arrived. I have continued to drive the vehicle without working high beams. • November 26th: I called Kia in Puyallup again to check on the part. They informed me that one headlight was still on backorder. It has been almost a month since your last appointment, and there was no sign of the part arriving while you continued to drive without working high beams in a remote area. • November 27th: Kia called me this morning to inform you that they were still unable to expedite the second headlight and recommended that you call Kia customer service for assistance.

I just bought my second new car from Kia of Puyallup.

I just bought my second new car from Kia of Puyallup. My most recent purchase is a 2025 Soul and the salesperson, Sara Brown, was outstanding. I never feel pressured and the dealership offers free oil changes for life. That’s unbeatable! The sales, finance l and service folks are all great to deal with. I can’t say enough about this dealer!
