I bought a Yukon from Ronald Lawrence and the process
I bought a Yukon from Ronald Lawrence and the process couldn't have been easier. Every one of my questions were answered in a timely manner and the transaction did not take very long to be completed. I highly recommend you go see Ronald at McElveen for all your vehicle needs. Cheers

Dear McElveen Buick GMC I have previously purchased my
Dear McElveen Buick GMC I have previously purchased my current truck. After receiving nonstop messages from you about coming in to trade my truck I finally decided to swing the almost 2 hours down to see what you have. Upon arriving, I am bombarded with a very aggressive salesman who proceeded to block my truck with his golf cart. Tell me what to do, and not listen to a word I said about what I wanted. I explained I wanted to walk around to see what you have, he proceeded to tell me I needed to go inside to look at a computer. I again said I wanted to walk around, he insisted I ride in his golf cart. Then when me and my friends whom were with me went ahead and proceeded to walk around to physically look at the vehicles, he proceeded to try to show me what he wanted to sell to me. Not what I preferred to look at. Despite me stating that I was not interested in certain vehicles. So we were about to leave at this point when I seen another salesman, & asked him to please show us around where we can walk around. He did apologize for the aggressiveness from The first salesman. I was interested in a vehicle (thank goodness I didn't get it after doing further research). Well, after a test drive, we went to discuss numbers. Wellllllll I'm unsure if your people were upset because the first salesman was no longer working with us or what, but the very insulting numbers they offered me for my truck (which is valued at just below 50k per kbb and nada mind you) then refusing to even discuss Those very insulting numbers. I'm unsure if this is how you treat women who come into your "fine" establishment without men or not. But I will no longer continue to recommend your dealership to my friends as I have over the years, nor will ever be a returning customer again. Not only was the way your employees treated us women with the aggressiveness uncalled for and quite frankly very intimidating, but the numbers people were extremely rude as well. It's sad because when I purchased my truck from y'all in the past I had such a warm welcoming experience. I have sent countless people to you over the years, some of which left with vehicles. But I guess that experience was due to the fact I had a man with me, considering the only major difference between then and now, is the fact that today was three women, and before I had a man with me. It's just sad. Sincerely, An ex-customer who will never return. Ps the second salesman was as amazing sadly he didn't make the sale due to the rudeness of the others.

Great Purchase Experience With Tommy Bennet
Let me start by saying I don't take the time to write many reviews unless I feel it's truly warranted. This review was warranted. I recently purchased my leased GMC truck from McElveen. My lease had originated in another state and I'm new to the area and needed to find a good GMC dealership to complete my lease purchase. I did some research and I reached out to Tommy Bennet at McElveen based on the great reviews other customers had previously posted about their experience with Tommy and the dealership and I quickly found out that their positive reviews were absolutely accurate and true. Tommy was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole process. His attention to detail was A+! He walked me through the whole purchasing process and was available whenever I needed him. He promptly returned phone calls and his follow up on the many questions I had was fantastic. If you are looking for an honest, hard-working salesman who can get things done, look no further than Tommy Bennet, I highly recommend him. I also would like to mention that Troy in Finance was also terrific to work with. Troy worked hard shopping around and finding me the best interest rate and extended warranty available which was greatly appreciated. Tommy, Troy and McElveen have earned a new customer for any future purchases or services that I need. Thank you!

McElveen GMC Summerville.SC
Over 8 weeks and my car is still not fixed properly! Now new issues caused by the mechanics have made my car undrivable. They expect me to pay for the repairs even though this was the shops fault. Stay far away from this dealer!

Do not buy used from them!
I would never buy a vehicle from them again. They used a “thank you for your service” detail mat to cover the carpet damage in a 2019 navigator that I purchased. The day I went to pick up my new to me navigator I saw the damage. The sales manager Jason just threw his hands up like “ I can’t do nothing your you”. I put $17,000 down on this vehicle! I had to speak with the general manager to get some weather tech mats at least. They’re janky and after you complete your sale you can forget everything else. They’re worse than a buy here pay here dealer.

Poor Service
I bought a used Ford Mustang GT convertible in January 2023. Two problems came up during test drive. Battery was dead, car would not start. And rear windows would not go up completely. Both items were agreed to be fixed. The battery was replaced, and I was told they fixed the window problem. A week later I started having window problems again. I contacted my salesman, and he said he was trying to arrange to get service to look at it. Weeks went by, until he finally said just bring it in to service. Service said the time had expired on warranty and charged me 150 dollars for repair. Repair did not last even one day before windows would not go up fully. I had a tire leak as well that was a cracked rim. They were supposed to check with my extended warranty I purchased to see if it was covered. Never heard back from them. I even left a message asking about it. Now the battery has gone dead again and they can't look at it for over a week.
