Patsy Bellomo far exceeded our expectations of what a salesman was. He was courteous, attentive, and never pushed us into making a deal. He did everything he could to get us exactly what we wanted and more for our budget. We appreciate everything he did and would recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful car buying experience.

Not Happy
I have a 2001 Elantra that came down with a strange stalling situation. I usually do all of my own work but this had me puzzled so I brought it here for a diagnosis. I sat with a very fast-talking and very easily distracted service writer (Kieth) and we discussed that all I wanted was a diagnosis and I will decide what to do at that point. After 2 days and many unreturned calls to the dealer I finally got a call back. I was told that they found two issues an replaced the parts alreadyfor a cost of over $900! They told me that the problem was fixed so I went to pick it up. I was handed the keys and told to try it out. It had the same problem that I came in with. I was able to talk to the mechanic who did the work and he was very helpful with advise. The service writer however was still trying to sell me more parts and service! I refused to pay for the repairs and after some heated arguing I agree'd to pay the diagnostic fee and nothing more. Be warned.

I encountered a problem with my new car, I mentioned it to him, he put a customer on hold while he confirmed my complaint. He apologized, and had the problem corrected immediately. I took my 2011 Santa Fe in to see how much I'd get on a trade in. Got a good deal on a new Santa Fe Sport not expecting to buy a new car at all. Ana Lopez did up the paperwork but there was a problem with a down payment that was not something we could deal with on our budget. So Howard Plotkin suggested a lease instead of a purchase and that would keep the monthly cost within our budget and we drove out in our new car. A very professional team to work with and considerate of the customers requirements & personal needs.

I had a truly wonderful car-buying experience at Mid-Island. We love our new Santa Fe! Everyone I dealt with went above and beyond with their customer service. I was dealing with humans rather than money hungry savages (no offense intended to sales-folk in general). They took their time in answering my questions and even went out of their way to help get the car home -- after the sale was complete. I will recommend John, Ray and the Mid-Island team to everyone I know.

I don't know what I ever did to these people except try to buy a car. After two failed attempts to see a car they advertised, I was finally on my way to a test drive when John Clemente intercepted my salesman, Ray sweet and took our dealer plates to a couple who arrived long after I did. Never has a dealership been so rude to me before a purchase. for what it's worth, I am 47, arrived in a Lexus and had researched the car extensively. The chance of this deal working out for Ray Sweet was pretty high. I'm guessing John Clemente wanted to take the commission from Ray Sweet? If I were Ray Sweet I think I would look for employment elsewhere. Too many respectable dealerships around to get kneecapped by your manager like this. Also - too many other used car dealerships to deal with this as a customer. The worst.
