Write a reviewTerrible service.
Terrible service. I have a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle purchased from Hyundai of Newport. Went in for a routine oil change, they over-filled my oil and caused so many issues. It has been back for service 3 times since, all had to be towed (at my expense) and when I asked to speak to the manager, he blamed me and was yelling at me! We ended the call by him telling me to go to another dealership...I think we should all take his advice!

Went with a certified check to pay for the car and they
Went with a certified check to pay for the car and they would not accept it. They suggested that I drive an additional five hours to bring them another certified check made payable to the dealership. If I had endorsed the original check to the dealership I would have the car and they would have the money. Recommend going to a different dealership. I will never go back . It was a car that was over 100K

Yes, you did come here with a certified bank check made out to you. We explained to you, we needed a certified bank check made out to Hyundai of Newport. We do not accept 3rd party checks in any amount let alone over $100,000. We did offer to flatbed the vehicle to your house and pick up the trade and proper check, you chose not to. It does seem you really wanted this vehicle. Unfortunately, you chose not to have us deliver the vehicle you to.
We recently purchased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata.
We recently purchased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata. Tony Lombardo was very helpful in selecting our car, answering questions, and processing the sale. After our first visit, Tony called to see if we had any questions. He was very responsive in getting answers to the questions we did have. Once we decided to purchase the car, Tony was able to process the trade in and complete the sale within an hour. We were able to drive our new car home. This is our second purchase from Hyundai of Newport. The entire staff is professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and focused on finding out the customer want and needs. We highly recommend them!

I wish there was a zero stars option.
I wish there was a zero stars option. My husband and I live 5 minutes over the RI state line (by the way Hyundai of Newport advertises on their website that they sell to people out of state and they’ll drive 75 miles to help with servicing vehicle needs). When we went there to buy a car as we had heard good things from them from a coworker, we had wanted to trade our car in. Rohan made it perfectly clear he wasn’t super interested in the car, it had too many miles and it was just going to go to an auction so they didn’t know how much they’d make. They have us an offer for the trade in value and for the price of the car we wanted knowing we were from out of state. The trade in value didn’t even put a dent in the price of the car. We put $2000 as a down payment on the car as it wasn’t in yet. Meanwhile we realized they gave us a very low offer on our trade in. They also ran my credit already. We immediately called once I got a notification they ran my credit because our appointment for financing wasn’t until the next day and I was surprised. We had also wanted to put more down for the car before they reached out to the banks as we had decided not to trade in the car to them. They screwed us on the offer. Rohan immediately tells us the deal is off and he won’t sell us the car because we live out of state. Excuse me? They already knew we lived out of state. He said they would charge us a premium and Jack the price up if we still want the new car because we lived out of state. Please explain to me how that is okay to do Hyundai? My husband then tried to reason with him getting progressively more and more upset (they already ran my credit and we put a down payment down). He called Rohan “dude” which my husband does fairly often with everyone. As in “hey dude”. Maybe not the most professional word or proper one, but did not mean it insultingly. My husband was told he was racist for saying that word. I genuinely take those accusations seriously as I work in ethics and would never purposefully do that, so I tried to educate myself on the historical context of the word “dude”. I can’t find any racist historical context. Please feel free to send me information on this word. I’m genuinely curious and would like to educate myself. I’m disgusted by Hyundai of Newports response to us realizing that we needed to take care of our family and make a decision not to sell them our car. I’m disgusted they geographically discriminated against us which while we understand is not illegal nor a protected class of discrimination certainly is unethical. They had no reason to not sell us that car based on their advertisement on their website and their interactions with us. Absolutely appalled by Rohan’s and the General Manager of Hyundai Newport’s actions and remarks.

I purchased a car from this dealer recently and can't give them enough praise. The person I dealt with was Rohan Webster who was a consummate gentleman and was superb in managing the trade in of my car and the purchase of another. The other people in the office were also friendly, helpful, and kind.

I came into the Newport Hyundai dealership 90% sure I would be choosing a car from there, and after dealing with the staff I felt 100% I'd made the right choice. Leah got me an amazingly low payment interest rate; that could only be described as a steal. And Rohan was able to navigate through all the sales, insurance, and trade-in/signing over of my previous everyday vehicle quickly. The entire process could not have taken more than an hour, if I am over evaluating it; I spent more time driving. I'm looking forward to getting my two free oil changes every year for the first 100,000 miles, and the 10 (upgraded from 5) year "bumper-to-bumper" warranty will ensure my new Hyundai puts the miles in; you hope a new car should. Very friendly staff that treats you like a person, and relates to you like one.

Great Experience
Had a great experience purchasing a Palisade working with Greg and Rohan. Both very pleasant and accommodating as well went above and beyond exceeding expectations to make the experience of purchasing stress free. Highly recommend.

Five Stars!
We were fortunate to be greeted by Sandy Spanos upon our first visit to Hyundai of Newport. We had done a bit of homework and knew we wanted to look at a Santa Fe SUV. Sandy had us test drive a pre-owned model with more amenities than imagined at a price that was great. The purchase transaction was so easy; no pressure and really enjoyable, Sandy is so knowledgeable and friendly. Our transaction was great; Leah in the Finance Dept was excellent also. Sandy demonstrated all the on-board navigation info with us and we are so happy with our experience at Hyundai of Newport! Their pre-owned certified warranty and service agreement is the best we have seen. Highly recommend!!
