I tried to buy a car from him online and we agreed on a price. Then he tries to change the terms of the deal by adding dealer fees (dealer fees on a 25 year old rusty car - what is that for dealer prep?) which are not listed on website and never mentioned during negotiations. I told him he can adjust the price or whatever he needs to do on his end to make it match the price we agreed upon. I offer to send him a bank check or wire transfer, whatever he prefers and to send me a bill of sale/contract. I also requested that AFTER he receives funds he FedEx overnight the title to me, WHICH I WILL PAY FOR. I have bought many cars online and this is always a practice I use to protect myself. He then tells me he doesn't do business with people telling him how things will work!! He tells me everything can be done by e-mail and paperwork arrives with the car after it is shipped. Maybe some folks are ok with that, but as a customer, I prefer to get the title next day (which is totally reasonable) since the car is mine after I send funds, that way I know if there is a problem with the transaction. There are a lot of shady dealers online that play games and sell cars they don't have or don't have titles to. Waiting a few weeks for a car to be delivered with paperwork is not acceptable terms to me, as I am the one taking the risk sending a wire transfer to a person I don't know, for a car I haven't seen. If there is a problem, and he doesn't send the car or title in a few weeks or if title or paperwork is lost I have nothing, then I am several weeks behind and get ripped off. Any reasonable car dealer would agree to send the title next day at the customers expense. Either he didn't have the car, title or something was up. He had a customer willing to buy his car at the price he agreed to and backed out of the transaction. BEWARE OF THIS SHADY DEALER.
