Great service

I just recently bought a Ford Fusion from Carmax of Hickory, and the team of professionals were just that--professional. We found them to be upfront and efficient.

Due diligence makes no difference here.

We both reviewed cars online extensively. The Toyota RAV4 (2010) seemed great. We drove 1.5 hours to Carmax. The sales people double teamed us. We went on the lot and found what appeared to be an acceptable car. We were shown not the Carfax report but a report they said was comparable. It was not in any way and we didn't know that until a few days ago. They did not tell us the car had been in an accident. They did say they will accept cars that only have one panel to be replaced. They did not tell us the odometer had been tampered with. I'll explain these shortly. The car was supposed to have a full tank of gas. It did not. We panicked. Filled it up and went for a long drive (wasting gas). That's when it was obvious it was not filled up. We called to complain about the lack of gas and were ignored. So, between the lack of comfort and the low mileage (we knew about that) it was time to dump the car. We wanted something higher off the ground and found it locally. When we went to the local dealer THEY ran a Carfax report. The RAV4 had been in an accident. There was evidence of odometer tampering (indeed there was a discrepancy). Selling it to recupe a little of our cost would be difficult. We used it as a trade-in. We had other issues and we cannot do anything about them since the car is used and sold "As Is." We are telling our friends and business connections about the experience and warning them about what occurred.

Very Nice. Promt follow up.

I used both their local store and their website in searching for cars. I was very surprised that when i submitted a question late one night and was called within one hour. The Sales person was very knowledgeable about their stock.
