Wouldn't buy anywhere else!!!

We have been buying cars and trucks from Floyd's for over 25 years and have loved every single purchase. We both drive long distances (80 miles RT) to our jobs, so the miles pile up on our vehicles, and we have always been very happy with how many miles we are able to put on the vehicles, how long they last, but especially how safe, reliable and dependable they are. We just got a new Chevy Colorado to replace our S10 that had well over 200K miles on it, and it was STILL running strong. We wouldn't trust ANY other dealer with our purchases at ANY price, the staff is incredible, the repairs are the highest quality possible....we are believers! When it came time for our teenager to get her first car, safety was our #1 priority, and we went straight to Floyd's and put her in a car we know we can trust to keep her safe!

Great experience at Floyd's

The only regret we had was buying a car with a bigger engine than we needed. Our fault, not theirs. Received great customer service from Peter. We purchased our car in July of this year, so would have been aware of problems by now. Will definitely go back.

Buyer Beware!

Went to look at a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited and was very disappointed. We were told that this Explorer had been in a frontal collision. Having put together cars myself I wasn't scared of the salvage title. The repair job though was done very poorly, large gaps between panels on the right side, almost overlapping panels on the left side. The test drive was even worse, the Explorer pulled right when going down the road and pulled left when I used the brakes. We were told that a professional alignment had been done, but either it wasn't done properly or there's still some parts that need to be replaced ie... a bent control arm. The front tires would also need to be replaced right away as there was only 3/32nd tread left based on the indicator bars on the tires. There was also a lot of wind noise with this Explorer, something that we've never heard on the others we've driven. Also when we went on the test drive a different salesman went with us, who claimed to know nothing about the Explorer when I was mentioning a few issues. But, he did say that he'd driven it home a few times. Then when we got back this guy disappeared and the original guy came back. It was quite strange. As I was explaining the issues we found we were continually told that it's a used car and that's what you get. He then proceeded to tell me how I can fix the problems myself even though most of it should've been done by them in the first place, especially when they were asking for around retail values when salvaged cars go for about 60% of retail value. Knowing that we'd have to put more money into this Explorer right after the purchase we tried to talk them down, at least enough to cover 2 front tires. They would not budge and said that the internet price was the lowest he could go. We know that some of the stuff was nit picky things, but spending that much money on a car it should be done right and this one wasn't. Our money was best spent elsewhere. There may be some good buys here, but research and inspect carefully.

Very happy with prior salvage vehicle

I've previously owned 3 salvage rebuilt vehicles, but this was my first purchase from Floyd's Auto Sales. Having experience with rebuilt vehicles, I asked lots of questions before making the 4 hour drive from northern Wisconsin. Sharon's responsiveness to my questions and requests was very impressive. She fully disclosed the damage that was repaired, sent pictures before repairs, had the vehicle inspected by a third party after the repairs, etc. I confidently made the trip to see the vehicle in person and was not disappointed. We purchased the 2007 Pontiac G6 about 6 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. There was one plastic gas filler neck part that was cracked, but when I brought it to Sharon's attention, she shipped me a new one without hesitation. I took the car in to a GM dealership this morning to have a recall item fixed and have a courtesy 39 point inspection performed. This was a thorough inspection including axels, gas lines, belts, heat and air conditioning, steering and sway bar components, wheel bearings, suspension components, etc. Everything checked out perfectly for this vehicle with 54,000 miles. I will definitely return to Floyd's for more vehicles in the future. If you're considering a vehicle from Floyd's, realize their niche is in rebuilding damaged vehicles and ask all of your questions to get yourself comfortable ... you'll be glad you did!

Shoddy Repairs

We bought a car from this dealer. We were made aware it was a salvage vehicle. One day after buying it the check engine light went off and the AWD sensor indicated a malfunction. We also noticed that the hood on the driver side wouldn?t stay latched correctly. Brought it to someone else for repairs and found out the sensors (along with others) weren?t reconnected correctly. The hood latch also wasn?t reconnected correctly plus the hood has quite a bit of bondo on it. It cost us another 500 dollars in repairs. The mechanic also mentioned that when working on the hood latch they noticed a bunch of broken plastic and debris still lodge in front part of the vehicle. The repairs to this salvage were done cheaply and not very well. Like another poster I?m questioning the safety of my vehicle. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealer.

Dealer response

Unfortunately this customer did not contact us to discuss the issues they were having with the vehicle. We regret that they had any problems and wish we were given the opportunity to address them. We do sell our vehicles 'as is' however, we stand behind the repairs. We have been in the business of selling repairable vehicles for over 30 years and have many repeat customers, seeing a report like this is very disappointing. We want every customer to be pleased with their purchase and like so many, return to us time and time again.

Shopping

I am shopping for a very specific vehicle. I am in contact with Floyds and plan on visiting soon. Very freindly and so willing to help me.

Good cars, great prices

I have purchased 5 cars from Floyd's over the years for my wife and I and have had no issues with the cars/trucks. I have driven all cars well over 100,000 miles and will return to them again when in need of another vehicle.

Bought my 5th Car and will go back for the 6th !!

I have bought 5 vehicles from Floyd's over the past 15 - 20 years. Just bought my 5th a couple of months ago and can't say enough good about my experience. Great prices, great service, great vehicles, down-to-earth people! I have recommended Floyd's to friends and family - of which I know at least four have purchased and also had a great experience. You are the best!

Buyer Beware

Previous poor reviews are all correct! I was taken advantage when I purchased my 2010 Rav4 at Floyd's Auto. They sold me a car that had very shoddy repair work. Essentially, I ended up paying for it down the line with thousands of dollars worth of repair work due to prior damage. I wish I could post pictures along with this review; Previous damage had been hammered out, glued together, sanded and covered with mud, held together with zip ties!!! All this was covered with trim or located in inconspicuous areas so that I wouldn't see easily at the time of purchase. This really makes me worry about the safety of my car due to other damage that I may not be able to see.

Floyd's had the best price and a great car. They were a little slow getting my title to me as I am out of state. They were honest about their car. I would recommend getting a car from them if you don't mind a repaired car.
