Great experience at this dealership - it was not the "normal" that I have experienced at other places. No games, no long drawn out waits, no pressure. Everything was clear - referring to the actual buying and financing phase here - "here are your options, this is what each add on brings you," etc.

I'm not sure what it is besides pure upselling when you
I'm not sure what it is besides pure upselling when you take a vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation but I've had it with that "experience". The cost was $148 for an oil change and rotation. When I got the quote I mentioned that I bought the tires there which comes with free rotation. He said he'd reduce the price for that. Being they have that information in the computer I wondered if he would have charged me if I hadn't mentioned it. I go to the waiting area and soon he comes out and points out that my lug nuts had swollen and I should change them out..$119. I had never heard of this before nor had the other 2 gentlemen sitting with me. I asked what if I don't. He said they continue to swell and then it would be $300 to remove them. I'm 72 and used to do my car care before computers were installed. Never have I heard of swollen lug nuts (Ford parts by the way) and I didn't think to ask afterwards if all 24 were swollen or just that one. I feel I was taken to the cleaners on it. He also wanted to know if I wanted the 100K service done early for $785. I have under 92K miles on my vehicles. I declined -it's the week before Christmas and he wants me to pay almost $1000 dollars when I came in for an oil change. Last time I go to Luthers North Country. I was given the name of another service from a guy after a Luther dealership couldn't remove an oil filter and wanted to sell an oil filter housing. That's a new one on me too after 35 years of doing my own oil changes. No more lug nut money from me Luther.
