CarMax Knoxville

Made an appointment to drive a car. Received financing approval. Was told by the credit union that the price on a 28000 car (30000+ after add ons) was 7k above blue book. Plus CarMax adds bunches of extra costs including a 599 fee. I changed my mind quickly. I was told by CarMax, it’s just business. I have bought 2 cars from them but no more.

No negotiations. Find your car on the lot. Sales rep was excellent and knowledgeable. The pick up and paperwork was simple and well organized. They appreciated my business. I would definitely buy from them again.

They do not contact you back. Unless you have a lot of cash on hand they do not seem at all attentive to you. They want to give you nothing for your car but expect you to pay way over the book value of the car your looking at.

Being writing back and forth and they have been responsive. Answers all my questions fast and offered mor assistance. Thx for all the the help.

Most professional group of people I have ever worked with ! Financing was awesome,fast and efficient . I have never bought from a dealership that had me in and out within 2 hours. No Pressure ! No Hassle ! I was VERY impressed with my experience today . I am even more impressed with the GREAT deal I got on the Dodge Ram truck I drove off the lot with . I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy their next vehicle and I will be back in the future . Pay no attention to some of the petty reviews written here and I noticed there are a few . Go down use some common business sense ,do your research before you buy , and you will find Car Max has it all !

I had a great experience at Knoxville carmax location. I went in with vehicle I wanted transferred and it was available within 5 days, even though it was quite a distance from Knoxville (Boston). Will Purvis, my sales consultant, was great to work with! I don't plan to ever buy a vehicle anywhere else again!! Thanks Will and Knoxville carmax staff!

We are new to United States only 1.5yrs. To make it worse we moved from Illinois to Tennessee and we have only been here for 7minths. We really needed a second car as me and my wife we have only relied on one car forcing us not to maximize on our working hours. As you know USA I runned on credit we didn't even have a score since my credit card was only 4months old. When I started shopping for a car I needed someone who will accept our credit status. I came across car max through google chrome and through their website I looked for the cars they advertised and singled out two Hyundai Elantra. My wife is new in the road so she really needed small car. It did not take 20min after I saved the car on their website. A sales representative Chris called me. He professionally introduced himself and promised to work with me. I visited the facility the next day and I loved it. Enough space to receive overwhelming customers . Chris was ready to receive me when my friend and I arrived. He gave both of us a warm firm handshake with a professional smile. I felt like I was at home though my heart was wondering whether I'll get a car due to my credit score. Chris worked with us, he guided us and in two weeks we had our car. Btw the two weeks could have been shortened if the car was here in Knoxville yard. The car was shipped at no cost to us from Lexington Kentucky to Knoxville, TN. Still I was involved in the whole process and got notified.
