They LIE!

They LIE! Service department is literally liars and don’t care about customers. I plan on contacting the better business bureau, consumer affairs, and probably another dozen websites so others don’t experience what I did. Then I will encourage my wife to do the same based on how she feels about this service department and hopefully we will feel better after expressing ourselves and ultimately help/warn others. All over a car key! It’s also worthy to note the key I need is for a car I purchased 2 days ago from this same dealer that only came with one key!!! Hyundai of Rockland Service Department does not deserve one star. I plan on servicing my vehicle elsewhere.

Comments on sales person and dealership

I leased a Tucson about 11 days from your salesman LT; he spent a lot of time with me and was very helpful. There were some things he did not go over, but when I called him on the phone, he said to bring the car up and he would take care of it which he did; I feel if anything comes up, in the future, he will always be there for me. Very easy to deal with. Every question answered

Michael Luciano was my salesperson and did a great job! No complaints at all! Every question I had he was able to answer for me and that's what counts the most! And he answered my questions even after my purchase

Great service

Ed Cantave was an amazing salesman. He guided us through the purchase of our first electric car. He insured our buying process went smooth, which was very much appreciated.

Productive AND fun experience at Rockland Hyundai!

Quite surely we have never had a better experience in car buying than at our recent visit to Rockland Hyundai. Salesperson Luis (LT)Tejada took charge of what started out as an inquiry about the beautiful Tuscon Hybrid we saw on the lot. Mr. Tejada was relaxed, professional and personable. Most importantly, he was knowledgeable about the vehicle and every step of the process that led to our purchase. He, generously, handed us the fob and encouraged us to take a lengthy drive, by ourselves! The car, honestly, sold itself. On our return LT patiently answered every question about the car and our options. He handled every aspect from arranging an early buyout of my previous Cadillac lease, to finances, insurance and registration. He made certain the vehicle was detailed and readied for us to drive home in our new car. Luis called us later to make sure we got home ok and the car was still working. The following morning we tried and seemingly failed to start our new Tuscon. I called Luis, who was with a customer. Scott, however, took my call and humorously assured me that because the car is a hybrid, it had undoubtedly started but we didn’t know it. A few minutes later, LT called and we had a few more laughs at my expense! Seemingly great agency and staff. Thanks, LT. You made it easy.

Wonderful experience

Definitely recommend this dealership. We went in to see a couple different models. Our sales consultant John was very knowledgable and patient explaining all of the different features in each. He made the decision and purchase process so easy. The team there was super helpful and super nice. Best experience I've had buying a car.

Avoid the service center

a minute ago Tl;dr, if you're buying a new car I'm sure it's fine, but don't deal with their service center. They are flat out liars and crooks. I bought a used minivan from this dealership. Granted it was a Chrysler that somebody had traded in for a Hyundai. so I'm not expecting to get the best service in the world, but I did expect them to actually do what they said they did. when I first went to test drive the vehicle, it had some issues with the brakes that needed to be resolved that ultimately were. However my main issue was whenever I turned on the blowers, the entire front console would rattle like it was going to fall apart. They said the mechanics would take a look at it and it'll be fixed by the time the car was ready to be picked up. I said okay. after 2 weeks it was still no movement, I threatened taking my deposit back to go to another dealership and miraculously was ready by that Friday. somehow, across this time they also needed to replace the windshield. There was no discernible damage when I checked it out originally, but we'll get back to that at the end of this review. That's the secondary issue. when I got there on friday, I turned on the blowers and it still was doing the exact same thing. they took some money off the cost of it they claimed that they were waiting for parts and they don't know what happened with the mechanic and the mechanic said that he did it and it gave me a runaround and a bunch of excuses, so they took some money off the compensate for the cost, and managed to use that as leverage for me to add the extended warranty. I found that to be useful so that's a moot point. So I bring it to my mechanic to get it checked out and he goes right into the vent system pulls out about 50 half chewed nuts from a tree and a dead rodent of some variety that was all dehydrated and clearly has been in there for a while. That means not only did they not even fix what they claimed, they didn't even take a look at it and just let it sit there. Again I understand a Chrysler is not going to be a Hyundai service center's specialty, but lying about doing work when you didn't do it or even attempt is just plain bad form. my mechanic required no special tools, showed me how to reach in there so I could wind up getting out any more if some rattled loose over time so this is clearly a known issue with this model vehicle and they dropped the ball big time. needless to say I'm incredibly disappointed with that alone, but let's move on to the windshield. I noticed no major issues, maybe there was some gasket issue or something or maybe it's just common practice at their dealership, but whoever they had install the replacement front windshield left a hole and it was raining the day I picked up the car and I was dealing with a leaky car for the entire ride home. needless to say after my earlier experience at the dealership, I was still extremely frustrated with all of this. no granted they got me the number for the window guy, it took a couple of days to get it and there's slow moving and that seems to be a common issue at this dealership in general. They already had my money so I was low priority. there was a major tonal shift once the paperwork was signed, you could tell they didn't care about my needs anymore. if I wasn't in the desperate situation for a minivan that I was, I would have returned it and resumed shopping around This is all to say that I wholeheartedly cannot recommend this dealership. My rep was polite enough, he worked with me to get dealer costs down and ultimately was able to get me an additional $500 off the cost of the car due to the failure of the service department. I'm not begrudging that, my issue is how long it would take anytime I tried to find out what was going on with my car, how much longer it would be till it was ready as I was in need of a minivan. as a father of four, there's few other choices for me on the road. my old one had broken down and was in dire need of replacement. the
