I’ve taken some time to calm down and process my experience before writing this review. This isn’t a post filled with anger or hate — just a sincere word of caution and a “buyer beware.” My advice to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Granger is simple: don’t. And if you do, I strongly recommend purchasing whatever warranty they offer. I bought a used 2018 Ford F-150 from Granger on 02/26/2025 for $33,188, along with a third-party warranty. Out the door, I financed around $40,000. Unfortunately, this truck has been nothing but a money pit and a headache for the past eight months. Within the first week of ownership, a front wheel bearing and CV axle failed — and it only went downhill from there. Soon after, the truck developed a driveline vibration, which led to a full transmission replacement and another CV axle replacement due to a torn boot. After getting the truck back from my local Ford dealer following the transmission replacement, a new issue appeared: it began trying to engage four-wheel drive while driving down the road. The truck went back in again, and both front IWE actuators were replaced. It’s currently back at the dealership — for the fourth or fifth time (I’ve honestly lost count) — with what appears to be the same issue: attempting to engage 4WD at interstate speeds. To date, this truck has racked up roughly $12,000 in repairs and spent nearly three months in the shop. Those numbers continue to climb as it’s still at the dealership while I write this review. When the first problem appeared (the wheel bearing and CV axle failure), I called Granger to express my concern about how their service department could have missed it during their “used vehicle inspection.” The manager’s response? “Sometimes things get missed.” That felt like a real slap in the face. Once again, my warning to anyone thinking about buying a used vehicle from Granger is this: don’t. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial pain — go somewhere else.

No better place to buy an extended warranty for your Ford

No better place to buy an extended warranty for your Ford vehicle. I've never been one to but Ext warranties on anything but with all the electronics on vehicles these days along with questionable quality control from all the manufactures, I decided to purchase the first one on my 2020 Ranger. Grainger was by far the best price and the process was easy peasy. After getting the Bronco in '23 it was also a very simple process to cancel the warranty via one phone call and receive the pro-rated refund. I waited 2 years then purchased one for the Bronco and still found the best price and service from Zach at Grainger.

We had a horrible experience at Granger Motors lost and I

We had a horrible experience at Granger Motors lost and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The salesman was actually really great! He was super helpful and respectful. We were able to come to a deal. When we went in to work with the finance department, everything changed. We were treated rudely when we made the decision to not go through with the deal based on the astronomical interest rate. The finance guy was rude to me and very condescending toward my son, who was making the purchase. The high interest rate was a result of my son being young and not having a long history of credit even though his credit score was high. We that rather than finance at such a high rate, we would put money down to hold the truck, and then bring in a cashier’s check the next day and skip the financing all together. At this point, we were told the truck would cost an additional $500. This was a deal breaker. Granger motors valued that $500 over making a $39000 sale. I will gladly give my money to a different dealership.

If you like keeping your money in your pocket stay away,

If you like keeping your money in your pocket stay away, they are dishonest to say the least. I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I’m thankful I didn’t make the purchase. Deyarman treated me right and made a great deal in less than two hours. No xx whatsoever. I have multiple emails and screenshots that show the games Granger Motors try to play. Horrible trade in values, and won’t honor the price that is (still) on their website. If you do make the unfortunate decision to do business with them make sure it’s with someone other than salesman Eric B.

They are liars cheaters and thieves.

They are liars cheaters and thieves. They had a truck for a sale price on their website and I asked for an out the door price which they gave me earlier this week with a low ball offer for a trade in. I called them two days ago to tell them I was going to get my own financing and not trade the vehicle that they gave me a lowball offer on. I asked him for an out the door price to take to my bank for financing. The salesman Eric Balk insisted we wait to see what October incentives are and I said no I would like the proposal today on an email which I still have. Well, here we are at October 1 and the sale price of the vehicle suddenly raised $3000 on a new proposal because he claimed Ford raised the price. It still shows the same sale price on the website. They were trying to rip me off because they couldn’t lowball me on my trade-in and get the buy rate off loan financed through the dealership. I have emails to prove all of this. Stay away from these snakes, Especially Eric Balk!

Super easy process to purchase a Ford extended warranty

Super easy process to purchase a Ford extended warranty plan and price was best I found. Very transparent and clear. Would purchase from them again. Answered all my questions over several e-mails.

Would highly recommend the Granger Extended Service Plan

Would highly recommend the Granger Extended Service Plan if you have a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle bought outside of their Iowa dealership. This dealership provided a great warranty for the price when compared with that of another dealership found elsewhere.

The deal was pretty much trouble-free, and I got 4% under

The deal was pretty much trouble-free, and I got 4% under invoice pricing on the deal. I had to fly up to Granger Iowa from Houston TX to pick up my truck. So far, the truck has run beautifully with no problems. I would recommend this dealership, specially if looking for the absolute best pricing possible on a vehicle.
