Certainly! Here’s a review you could use to express your experience with the car dealership: --- I recently had a very disappointing experience with Elgin Hyundai. After submitting a credit application, I was approved for a vehicle and was assured that it would be held for me. However, I waited two weeks to pick it up, only to find out upon my inquiry that the car had been sold wholesale without any prior notice. There was no communication from the dealership regarding this change, and I was left in the dark without updates. Even more concerning was that they still had my personal information but did not make any effort to rectify the situation or offer alternatives. Instead, they just sent me a link to other cars that were outside my desired range and without any negotiation on pricing or discounts. I did not receive a call from a manager or any attempt to resolve the issue, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Overall, my experience was incredibly frustrating, and I cannot recommend Elgin Hyundai to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Save your time and money!

Chris Rhone was our sales person. He was very welcoming and he made the whole process very easy and stress-free. He’s just a really nice man. I actually had to exchange the original vehicle I purchased for a new one within the three day grace period. I have to say that Elgin Hyundai was very accommodating and that’s why I drive from Arlington Heights to Elgin!

BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE! Do not purchase your car at this dealership. There are lots of other places to buy. These people will rip you off. I purchased a Certified Pre Owned car from Elgin Hyundai. Within 2 weeks I noticed issues with my tires. I had to get them replaced and the mechanic told me that some parts of my tires measured at 2 instead of 5 like they claimed, which is considered unsafe to drive. When I reached out to the dealership, manager Mike Meah completed blew me off and tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the tires and I must have caused them to become so worn in such a short amount of time. Save yourself the time and anguish dealing with these people and their inflated prices. They also tried to tack on a charge for the CPO certification above the listed online price, so watch out for that too.

I was communicating with an online representative
I was communicating with an online representative consistently to which she booked me a test drive and even up until an hour before my appointment was still communicating with me saying that she had everything ready to . When I got to the dealership, the car was "no longer there." They mentioned that the people I communicate with online don't always know what is on the lot, but did not really have any other explanation. How can I be communicating with someone all day, and then get to the dealership and no one has awareness of me or the car? I left, and then they tried frantically calling me when I was sitting in my car offerings me something much different and out of my price range. They claimed it was not a "bait" situation, but it really felt like one. Of course, I have heard nothing from them since, even when I reached out to express my concern.

I stopped by a handful of other Hyundai dealerships
I stopped by a handful of other Hyundai dealerships before coming to Elgin Hyundai. At these other dealerships, I felt extremely overwhelmed by the salespeople trying to get me to settle on a vehicle for a price I wasn’t comfortable with. However, with Elgin Hyundai, all my nerves and anxiety were melted away. I was greeted by Jim and Daniella, and they listened to my wants and needs and got me into the exact Santa Fe Hybrid I had viewed at another dealership right down to the color. I got to take the vehicle on an actual test drive around the area to show me how the vehicle handled, unlike the previous dealership which took me around the block on an all flat road. I was also shown way more features, tips, and tricks that I didn’t even know the Santa Fe had to offer! I was offered generous discounts on the vehicle that I didn’t even have to argue for. I was also given a generous trade in allowance on my Tesla compared to other places. I’ve purchased vehicles in the past, but none have come close to the comfort I felt making this purchase with Jim and Daniella! I felt like I knew them for years despite meeting them for the first time! They were able to answer all my questions with proficient and polite answers, they were able to get answers for me in a timely manner, and most of all, they treated me with kindness, compassion, and respect. You won’t find that at many dealerships. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I have already received many compliments on the vehicle and I have already recommended many friends to come check them out if they are in the market for a vehicle—and I recommend anyone reading this review to come and check out the vast inventory they have to offer here at Elgin Hyundai!
