There is a reason this dealership has been in business for 75 years! Smoothest deal I've ever had. My salesman Chris was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Just an extraordinary place to do business, everyone I came in contact with were extremely friendly and I got a great deal on a great car.

I bought my 2019 Buick Regal from R.J. the sales mgr. He was thoughtful and very caring. I will return there when I am ready for another pre-owned vehicle.

We have been dealing with Jim Shepherd and crew since we moved to Richmond in 1995 and refuse to go anywhere else for sales or service. We've always received service with loving, caring, "family" excellence. We just bought a "new" used vehicle for my wife and got a better deal than any other dealer. I bought my Focus from Jim Shepherd years ago, sight unseen. Told him want I wanted in a car as I needed one. He arranged all finances and picked me out a car that exceeded my expectations and with a lower price and payments than expected. Same as today with my wife needing a "new" used vehicle. Walked in, told the team what I needed and what I could afford and they set my wife up in a "like new" Mercury Mariner with all the bells and whistles at 2.17% APR which is fantastic. Just took my car in for service and good going over as it's high mileage with orders to "fix/change/flush anything that needed fixing." Instead of a high dollar bill, I got a reasonable bill for only necessary upkeep and good for another 20K miles all within one day, car washed and cleaned upon return. Greatest service department in my life. One cannot say too much about the team at Shepherd Sales and Service. In all honesty, if you're going anywhere else, you're doing yourself and your pocketbook a disservice. May God bless Jim Shepherd and his team as you will not find nicer, more caring and helpful people on this planet. Going anywhere else...is just wrong. Talked too them through email about a car I was interested in. They didn't really answer my question so much as try to get me to come down there.

I recently bought a miata from them and am very well satisfied. The condition of the vehicle is top notch. They fixed some issues(new stabar links) before they put it up for sale. When test driving the car, i heard some rattling noise and they fixed it immediately. I also felt the stick shift was hard, had the mechanic drive with me and assure me everything is perfect. Jeff the sales guy, Jim and the mechanic were all friendly and always ready to help. They made sure i was happy and satisfied. will definitely go back and buy from them in the future.

Great experiences from the purchase of a used car, to general maintenance of the car, to repairs!! OUTSTANDING!!! They helped me find the car I was looking for in a timely manner, at a fair price. They continue to help me with general maintenance of the vehicle, at great rates. They are helping me now, to repair a destroyed tire and rim, from a collision with a pot hole. The dealership's location is a little out of the way from my home, but I was able to complete the whole car buying process via email and phone thanks to Jeff. He was friendly, efficient, and patient.
