DONT waste your time!

DONT waste your time! Very unorganized, and unprofessional. Went to trade in my vehicle which is valued at 8,300 on KBB for trade-in they offered me 3,000 and stated that is the amount it would bring in at an auction. I also had an appt for a particular vehicle which they sold out from under me 15 minutes prior to my appt time. One employee proceeded to raise his voice and try to argue with me that it did not take me an hour drive time to get to his dealership which it CLEARY did. Then I was told there was a very similar vehicle available which I agreed to let them run numbers on, however it was a pre-order and NOT available. I was also told over the phone by the Manager Mark Gandee that he promised if I made that hour drive to his dealership he would make sure it was worth the drive. We were also told that if we did buy a vehicle that their service department closes at 3 on Saturday so we would NOT be able to drive the car home and they would have to bring it to us at a later date. The sticker price on the car was 38,000 but from the parking lot to inside the price went up to 42.000, they stated it was for "extras" that they are required to put on the vehicles. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Yes Ii was also a little snippy with them while I was there, but after all of the BS and jerking around I had every right to be upset. This place is a joke!

Highly recommend. Alex Cooper is a blessing

this is my 3rd new vehicle from Dutch Miller Kia Alex Cooper is an amazing salesman. He always responded to my messages and answered all of my concerns. He was very kind, honest, and courteous. I appreciate his hard work in getting me my brand new 2022 K5. I absolutely love it. I will highly recommend him to all of my friends who are looking to buy. Give Alex a raise! He deserves it! He educated me very well on all of the features of my K5 and made me feel comfortable about my purchase. Jonathan Murray is awesome as well. He sold me my last car and was very help in the financial area this occurrence. He explained things to me in a very simple manner and I appreciate it. Outstanding gentleman.

Unsatisfied New Car Owner!

I had purchased a 2020 Kia Optima S about a year ago. Came with all the 20yr/200k mile limited drivetrain warranty and all the other warranties along with roadside assistance. My starter has recently went out. And my wife is due to go into labor at anytime. They are telling me that the roadside assistance doesn't cover a rental, like the contract states they will supply rental for up to a maximum of 6 days at a maximum cost of $100 per day. And are also telling me that it will be around a month just to get my car in to be looked at. Very disappointed in the service, along with the roadside assistance promise, that is in the contract in black and white. What can I do about this? Anything at all? Anyone I can call to get the ball rolling in my favor?

Love my Kia but very disappointed in the service...

Love my Kia but very disappointed in the service department at Barboursville, where the car was purchased. Have dealt several times with the Charleston/South Charleston Service Department and found them to be friendly, efficient and fast. I relocated and started using the Barboursville service department in 2020 and have found them to be dismissive, inefficient and rude to the point I would not purchase another Kia from this dealership. Service writers acted as if each time I entered the dealership, I was a bother to them. Did not smile or act friendly in any manner. Most recently went for an oil change and asked that the 91,000 mile inspection be done as well as tires rotated. Mentioned the car had a vibration and was quickly told they could not look into it then and I would have to make an appointment approx one month away. Upon checking out I did not receive any indication that the inspection was done and was specifically told my tires were fine. Upon further investigation the next day by a local garage it was found that the car had a broken belt in a back tire. A new tire was purchased, but the vibration continued. The day before my scheduled appointment in Barboursville on June 16th, I called to tell them I was also having a problem with the air conditioner. I was very quickly told my car was given a three hour appointment time and the air conditioner could in no way be looked at until another appointment could be scheduled in Mid September two months away. He also rudely informed me that it would not be covered by warranty, though this is something I did not ask. As far as the warranty I was informed that though I purchased the 20 year 200,000 mile warranty, nothing on the car other than the engine and drive train were covered past 50,000 miles. At this point I admit I was getting aggravated and asked the service writer why he had to be so difficult and that each time I had been in the facility, it had been a nightmare, unlike my So. Charleston/Charleston experiences. He informed me he was under "stress" (who isn't) and only had three technicians. He then quickly put me in my place and stated, "If you don't like it you can take your car back down to Charleston." In spite of this rudeness, I kept the appointment, since I had waited one month, only to be told the vibration was being caused by a front tire broken belt, that had also been missed when the tires were reportedly inspected, aired and rotated. Though I was not able to get back to the dealership before they closed, I paid the 450+ bill and asked that the keys be locked in the car and it would be picked up later. The car was left at the dealership over night and when it was picked up the next day, it had been left in the lot with the doors unlocked and the keys laying in the floorboard for anyone to take. On a final note, I did ask the service writer who was in charge of the department and he told me it was Blake Miller who would be back in the dealership on Monday. As I said, I love my Kia Optima which I purchased in Barboursville in 2018, as a new car. I had been considering trading it in on a new Kia, but after this interaction, I would not recommend purchasing from Dutch Miller Kia if you have to use the Barboursville Service department.

Third New KIA PURCHASE🥰

This is my third new KIA. Honestly I wouldn’t be buying another if it wasn’t for the ice storm we just had in February 2021, but it caused a tree to fall on my Silverado and Optima. So we had no choice, we had to get something to replace them. We decided on a KIA Sportage for now and look for a truck for him to fix up like he had done with the other. I miss my Optima, but I’m really liking my Sportage!
