Perfect car buying experience!

My Wife and I recently purchased a used Jeep from Chris Nikel and could not have been happier with the process. The sales staff was not pushy and they actually listened to us. This was my 3rd time buying a used car and it was by far the best experience. There was no need to negotiate price because the sale price really was a great deal. I was almost certain that I would have to negotiate the price they were willing to pay for my trade in, but to my surprise the first offer was right on the money. The finance team was equally impressive. There were no hidden fees such as early payoff or financing fees. I would most certainly recommend this dealership to anyone looking at buying a new or used vehicle.

Satisfied customer

Sales staff at Chris Nikel are really good. We are very happy here, we drove 50 miles to replace our damaged side mirror because ther rates were better. Staff is knowledgable? Only reason we didn't purchase our vehicle here is that we bought from a family friend.

Get your Nikel's Worth? Not likely...

With the exception of CarMax, I have never been to a dealership that refuses to negotiate prices with you... until I went to Chris Nikel CJD. First they will tell you one price via phone/ internet, NOT inform you on available incentives AT ALL, and do the classic car dealer schnick where they tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to the dealership (I thought that went out with parachute pants, I was wrong!). Once you get to the dealership you will be pawned off to someone other than who you've spoken to via phone. The price of the vehicle will change from what you were informed of via phone and incentives YOU have had to inquire about will disappear. And here comes the best part... they WILL NOT negotiate with you. What year is it? 2012. IS this a CarMax? No. Get with the times, Chris Nikel, car buying is a negotiation, not a trip to the grocery store. People come to you willing and wanting to spend tens of thousands of dollars and you won't budge? Give me a break. At least if you're not willing to budge on price put some lame tag line on your website saying these are your "Bottom Line Prices" or whatever. Oh wait, you already have a lame tag line: "Get your Nikel's worth." Hah! Okay. I should have got the hint when I walked in and there was literally no one else there buying a car.

Why should you have to test your skills of negotiation to get a great deal on your next car or truck? Isn't your time worth so much more? Also, we do not surprise you with additional fees once it's time to take care of your paperwork. No "Doc Fees", no window etching, and no car-lot games. Our huge selection, great service, and no hassle pricing are only a few of the things that make it easy for you to get your Nikel's worth.

Wouldn't buy here if they were giving them away!

They have a unique system set up here, but in the end they put the stealership mentality right back in the mix. The owner himself has a dry, welcoming attitude, but that was erased when the sales tower failed to realize that potential customers can see and hear them from the glass cubicles. I have never felt so uncomfortable in an otherwise professional and Inviting environment. Great selection, wonderful facilities, but topped off with bitter sarcasm and unwarranted fuzzy math and run around. Avoid unless you know exactly what you are looking for and don't mind smiley glad hands in cheap ties. And don't get me started on what they did to my older Jeeps...
