Athens Ford

I have taken my truck to Athens Ford about the same issue three times and it’s still not fixed. I’m very disappointed in their service department.

I have been searching for an F350 for a couple weeks. With Covid, and limitations on parts from China, they are almost impossible to find anywhere in the country. Found one at Athens Ford - it was perfect - exactly what I was looking for, called them and spoke with a salesperson (John), and told him I wanted it. Have a trade-in, so I took pictures and sent it to him. Got an offer for trade in (not very good), but I told him “deal” - sight unseen, and no negotiation. He sent over paperwork, which I signed and returned. I sent them my credit card info so they could take a deposit. Keep in mind, this is a document they sent me, with places to fill in all your credit card information. This was Friday. He asked when I could pick it up. I asked if they were open Sunday, and he said they weren’t. They’re two hours away from me, and I’m in the middle of closing on my house and moving. I asked if I could pick it up Thursday. Sure, no problem…I mean it’s only 5 business days - what’s the big deal? They had my deposit, and these trucks sell instantly, so it’s not like they’re going to be stuck with inventory. Tuesday I called to ask what I needed to bring (cashier’s check, personal check, etc) because I was paying cash. John wasn’t there, so I spoke with a manager. He informed me they sold the truck to someone else. xxx??? Said sales manager starts bad mouthing John - saying how he doesn’t represent the Athens Ford “ethics”, saying he won’t be employed there much longer, and how unprofessional he is. What’s funny is this sales manager has no idea that what he’s telling me is unprofessional and unethical, and the fact that they didn’t honor what their sales person agreed to is not only a terrible practice, but also completely wrong. There’s a reason people don’t trust car dealers or anyone that works there, and it’s exactly for reasons like this experience. Double fail Athens Ford. Avoid this dealership if at all possible.

Jonathan and the Athens Ford team treated us very well for the second time. We had a time limit in the dealership since we came from out of town. They succeeded on get us out of there with time to spare.

Jonathan was amazing! He found us the needle in a haystack and got it to us seamlessly!!! So grateful for his professionalism!! We would absolutely buy again from him!
