DO NOT GO To Pendarvis Chevrolet

I took my 2007 Cadillac here for repair of the engine rough idle and A/C not working. (another place had installed a new A/C compressor at a cost of $800.) They repaired the rough idle by replacing the bad motor mounts, $1,200.00. This did fix the rough idle. They then told me the ECM (engine control module) was bad and there were only two spares in the country. I found one online for $241.00 but they would not use it, charged $1,501.00 to purchase and replace the ECM. They told me to come and pick up the car, I drove it and there was still now A/C. They they said the new compressor was bad and the old one was not warranteed. I paid another $450.00 for another new compressor and seal kit, they wanted to charge me $1,500 to install it but came DOWN to $666.00. Then they said the A/C was only good to 59 degrees on one side and 70 degrees on the other side. It would be another $500.00 to check what was wrong!! I picked up the car today and paid a total repair bill of $3391.68 and the AC still not working right. I am a 77 year old General Motors retiree. I was a Machine Repair Machinist for 37 years. This place ripped me off!!! DO NOT buy here!!!! Please contact me for any info. I have an Attorney appt. next Wednesday. Thank you.

Mr Carmody, This is Bailey Pendarvis here with Pendarvis Chevrolet. I apologize about the issues you are having with your 2007 Cadillac. I personally would like to respond to this review because of several conversations I had on the phone with you about your Cadillac. As we discussed on the phone there are several issues pertaining to low speed data bus network communication errors. However, the most important issue that we discussed was the previous repair shop damaging your fuse block by sticking pliers in the fuse block. We had to build an external relay from the fuse block alongside the ECM in order for us to even get power to the compressor. We do not accept aftermarket parts or used components when pertaining to electrical systems/modules. We then had a conversation on the phone that this repair would only give us power to the compressor allowing it to engage. Furthermore, once we received power to the compressor allowing it to engage there was evident leak of your compressor installed by another repair facility. After conversations with you on phone about the other repair facility not installing all the components of your compressor kit from O'reilly's that O'reilly's would not warranty the failure of the compressor. We were upfront with you about issues from the previous repair facility as well as the electrical problems you were having that would lead us to taking the dash apart. Unfortunately, we had conversations about the issues that were present with your vehicle and the cost upfront may exceed the value of the car. Again my team here at Pendarvis Chevrolet was very clear and would only proceed with repairs on your approval. Good Service

This dealership has a good staff. Most know you by name. Prices are pretty fair compared to other dealers. Hunter and Bailey are very helpful in service department. Clint and Mike are great with sales.
