Terrible experience.

Terrible experience. Jim Stephens seems to either lie to cover his hide, or maybe doesn’t know what he’s talking about.. either way, he was not helpful when confronted about his mistake, and eventually just stopped responding when we were trying to resolve things. We had an appointment set up for an oil change/tire rotation. On that day, before the appointment the sunroof shattered. My husband took it in for the oil change appointment (which wasn’t handled that day), and also let them know about the sunroof. They had him leave it that day Thursday, 11/7. He let them know we had a wedding to go to, and we need to leave 11/22. At first they said, “we’ll see what we can do”, but told him they would fix the glass and get the maintenance work done. We accepted at that point that we may need to take a rental. He called back the following Monday 11/11, and spoke with Jim Stephens. Jim at this point mentioned that the glass wouldn’t be covered under warranty, and the glass hadn’t been ordered yet (first day he said it would take a week to get the glass in, no other details), and they were waiting on us to talk with the insurance (the glass was to be fixed regardless of whether insurance covered it or not, but alright). Glass was ordered.. truck has been sitting at Jones Ford the entire time. (My husband was able to track when his truck moved, when it was on, etc. from his app.) Husband called to give/get updates periodically, each time being told Jim would call him back. On Tuesday 11/19, Jim told husband that the glass came in, and the work should be done in a day or two (so done by 11/21 latest), sweet! We made plans to drop off the rental, and get the truck in time for our trip. Wednesday and Thursday come and go, truck still isn’t done. Towards the end of the day on Thursday husband calls back, Jim says it will definitely be done tomorrow 11/22 (the day we are supposed to leave).. should be done in the morning. We get our things together and ready to go. Husband calls and talks to Jim around 10am, and Jim says they’re still working on the glass and the maintenance work will be done afterwards (glass was actually already done, and we were just supposed to be waiting on the maintenance). We return the rental, and we wait for a phone call. Jim calls us (finally) at about 2pm, and says the truck is done they’re finishing up right now (spoiler alert, it wasn’t actually done). Husband goes to pick up the truck, and is now told it’s gonna be $400-$500 more than what he was quoted. Tells Jim that he spoke WITH JIM, and the price was agreed upon before we accepted the insurance claim. Jim says that’s not possible, as he continues to spit his dip into a cup. Eventually he goes to the back and comes out with an adjusted price. My husband had also mentioned in his time there that he believed his tires weren’t rotated because they were showing the same pressures. He was correct, they changed the oil and wipers, but didn’t rotate the tires. All of which are included in the maintenance package, Jim says that the guys out there should have known that and calls them something along the lines of “idiots” (way to throw others under the bus). They pulled the truck in, and did the tires. Husband went to look at the truck and there was broken glass throughout the cab. He asked why this wasn’t done, and when another employee offered to have someone clean it out, Jim told her not to have anyone touch the broken glass, because we weren’t charged for clean-up (reminder: the truck was “done” an hour before price adjustment). After we cleaned the glass out ourselves, we were finally able to leave in the middle of rush hour traffic, thanks Jones Ford!

FORD=Junk.

FORD=Junk. Let me start by saying that I special ordered a truck and waited 5 months for delivery. After that all I got was a piece of junk. ALL the employees in the service department are inept and incompetent. They don't know what they're doing and it seems like no one has even had a second's training in customer service. I'll start with Bill, Laney, Brittany, Chris, Mark. They don't make calls to update the status of the vehicle. My vehicle has been there for a month and a half and I had to go there for an update only to be told that I have to pay for the repairs because according to them they are not covered under warranty. But it only has 11,000 miles??? I've taken the xxxx truck in constantly for the same thing. They just park it there and do nothing to it. Don't waste your time answering crap about my review. Jones Ford is the biggest piece of crap in SC.

"Loss of engine oil pressure" showed up on my display

"Loss of engine oil pressure" showed up on my display panel on 6/17. I took the car to Quick Start. The guy gave me paperwork concerning recall 23S64, and told me to take it to the Service Center. According to the recall, I cannot drive my car. Mr. Glover told they could not give me a loaner and there was nothing else he could do. I called the corporate office and a man gave Mr. Glover instructions on submitting a SSSC form. Went back 2 days later, no updates. I called corporate again. he was again instructed to do SSSC because he did not do the first one. Called two days later, nothing. He said he had to track down all the parts info to included in the form. After 5 days without a car, I chose to call another dealership. Mr, Glover lied about how long it took to fill the form, how long it took for the SSSC form to be approved(24 hours vs his 48 hours), and other things. He had no intentions on helping me. If I get a loaner car from the other dealership, then he told another lie. Silly me for trusting Ford. I would like to know why I was treated that way.

I'm OVER the top with the care and asthethics of my vehicles. Ceramic coatings are a staple, as well as weekly maintenance of the coating. Mechanical care is no less important, 3k mile oil changes, NEVER replace a part without upgrading and replacing stuff that eventually WILL break before it does is the key to making vehicles work FOR YOU. On the way home from my honeymoon, a stray tire left unsecured on someones vehicle bounced and hit my truck square in the grill. Even with Dash cam footage and the guys face, SC police apparently have too many accidents to try and actually investigate so I was left with a "hit and run" style accident. Progressive kinda sucked throughout this whole thing from leaving us on the side of the road to trying their hardest to ensure my trucks repair is as cheap as possible. My 2018 f150 went through 3 shops where it was CLEAR they were advocating for insurance and NOT me. All crap aftermarket parts from China etc. I plan on doing a lot more work to my truck and WILL NOT accept having problems down the road because cheap parts had to be "fitted" to make work. Enter Jones Ford, After a Caliber regional manager actually told me on the phone that they can't meet the quality demands I would have (like simply not having dust in the clear coat) they were going to move it yet again. We found Jones Ford and thankfully got someone by the name of Randy who really took charge and for the FIRST time I felt like someone was working for me and not progressive in lieu of me. While I wished it could be back to me faster, it seems the infrastructure out there is so bad the amount of accidents overflows the repair facilities. This was confirmed even before getting it there as we had issues finding places even able to accept work needing done any time soon. However, alll things considered, it could be worse and now that I have it back. I'm SO thankful and will NEVER drive my truck in that state ever again. I will literally park it in NC and rent through that hellhole state. :) For comparison to less apparently crappy states, I fell into my work cars open door during a winter storm, completely destroyed it and bent the fender panel which needed replaced along w/ the door, they had it back to me in 3 days. Either the state needs to invest dramatically in roadways, or a lot more body shops need to open out there ASAP. Anyways, all things that could be controlled by Jones Ford were handled professionally, and in a fairly timely fashion all things considered. Full disclosure, my late mother was a Karen and there were jokes that the "Karen stigma" was started by her and some now hidden youtube video :P That being said, when I feel like I'm not being handled in a way I feel appropriate, I speak out and the VERY few times I questioned anything with this process, they were not only responsive, but took the extra time and care to explain in honesty what parts are controlled by them, what red tape they have and when things are just out of their control. While I wouldn't want to ever have to deal with a car related problem in that state again, if I had to, I'd only trust Jones Ford. Also worth mentioning, if I didn't have a friend who'd kill me in my sleep if I bought from another Ford dealership, I would have been inclined to buy my next vehicle from them.

Worst experience ever at this service station.

Worst experience ever at this service station. They do not disclose fees charged until you go to pick up your vehicle and have to pay for them for them to allow you to take your car. They charged me MULTIPLE diagnostic fees on items I would have never paid for a fee to have them check out had it been disclosed it would be charged on every single item I mentioned in passing (not just one fee for all). They then responded with completely incoherent responses to the items checked--my toddler would have come up with a more intelligent answer than they did. They told me my seat heater would be almost $2k to repair, even after Ford Warranty sent me an email saying it is covered under my warranty. The service Manager then refused to return multiple messages to discuss it. They completely gaslight and bully their customers. Truly one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from allowing them anywhere near your car.

After being hit by a careless driver, I was immediately

After being hit by a careless driver, I was immediately comforted by the fact that I could bring my vehicle to Jones Ford and receive exceptional service. Their service team took care of EVERYTHING! I was provided with a reliable rental car, weekly updates, notified if parts were in production or being shipped to the dealership. Jones Ford worked directly with my insurance company, and they took the time to explain every part of the process to me in a way that was kind, respectful, and easy to understand. Being a victim of a collision can be incredibly stressful, but Jones Ford truly made me feel at ease and reassured. I received my vehicle back before the anticipated completion timeline, and everything was perfect! I am so grateful for Jones Ford, and the care and integrity they put into their work to service their community. Literally wouldn’t go any place else, ever. :)

I like many others have fallen victim to Jones Ford

I like many others have fallen victim to Jones Ford Service Department. Like many others, I took my car in for service. My appointment was scheduled out a month in advance. I dropped the car off as scheduled, and the service folks had it for almost a month in order to complete the issues. Well, again like others, I did not hear from the service manager, or anyone else. The end after a month of waiting, and over a $1,000 car rental bill, my car was only looked at once and one small issue was completed. I pulled the car and will be looking for a small independent repair shop to complete the tasks. I searched all the other ford dealers in the Charleston area and they ALL seem to have the same issues: long waits, work not completed, no contact with the client, half truths and excuses, Please don't use Ford service unless you need to and have plenty of money for your rental car.

Jones Ford collision will rip you off, Guaranteed!

Jones Ford collision will rip you off, Guaranteed!!! They never finished the repairs on my Van and they used parts that were the wrong color. The quality of work is very very poor they have no pride in the Quality or their work. They ordered parts for my van three times and every time they got the wrong part and told me they could not find the correct part. I was forced to go to a real repair shop and they found the parts within 5 minutes and now Jones ford will not reimburse me for the part even though they've already been paid for it. Go to jones ford collision at your own risk because they will rip you off.
