Good service, clean facility
My husband and I have purchased our last 6 new cars from Al Baumann's so I did not shop around as I thought we would get a decent deal as repeat customer. We also buy from there because if we have a problem, service always arranges for our vehicle to get in right away, in a day or two for maintenance. Since the car I wanted was not in stock, a dealer trade was performed. Before we started to look I asked how the process would work on negotiating the deal. As I was not sure if price was negotiated before or after the dealer trade. When it came to price one of my comments/questions was "I would tell you what I wanted to pay" and I was told that "we would tell you what you are going to pay. Looking back I could have stated my comment differently as it does not sound like I meant it to. I felt as though it was not an option to negotiate price after that. Since I wanted the car and I am a loyal customer I still made the purchase, shame on me. In the future I will get estimates from other dealers before I purchase from here again. I apologize for the delay in completing this survey. On a positive note, I love my Camaro.

Good service and very friendly
Very good service. The service department personnel were very helpful and friendly. The price was actually less than Walmart and I was able to get the oil that I wanted.

so much for a good deal
I was interested in a used vehicle with limited finance options available. When I asked if there was some way we could negotiate a better price I was informed very briskly "no...that's the price. The vehicle resells at 3000.00 more..." A week later the price dropped over 1000.00. In addition...do your homework before purchasing with this dealership... the vehicle is still priced 1500.00 more than blue book at the discounted price... and is still on the lot.

I bought a used, 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT from Baumann in...
I bought a used, 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT from Baumann in March of 2012. Water leaks in from the passenger-side windshield area every time there's rain, and the insulation under the carpet is destroyed. The problem existed before I bought the car, yet Baumann has refused to fix it. Their only solution was to try to sell me a guard piece for a Grand Prix. Do not buy a used vehicle from this dealership.

This was a long distance purchase of a used vehicle with a trade-in. There was disagreement on both seller and purchaser sides regarding the value of both vehicles. After some discussion about the net difference we could not come to a mutual agreement, so I stopped the process. Andy then convinced his management to agree to my final offer. I wired the money and never saw the car except from the pictures provided by the dealer. It was exactly what it was advertised to be, and exactly what I wanted.

I want to thank Jim Ginnever and his team at Baumann for their professionalism and courtesy. I have to admit, buying cars has always been a little scary for me, especially used cars!. Jim and his sales team helped me find a great car in my price range and I'm very happy with it. I did have to take the car back a few times for some mechanical issues but Jim stood by his promise to make sure that we were 100% satisfied and never charged us for a single repair! This kind of customer service is unheard of these days and it will definitely take me back to Baumann for my next purchase. Thank you again!
