Duwayne Taylor Awesome

Duwayne Taylor was awesome ! My family drove down from Chicago in order to purchase a nice, used vehicle and Duwayne was there from beginning to the end ! Cordial, pacient, and very helpful. 8/12/19 purchase date.

Worst customer service experience ever!

This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever received. I spoke over the phone with Duane from Rod Hatfield multiple times to confirm details about a vehicle in their lot. Nothing was marked as wrong in the listing and and nothing was verbally said to me over the phone about any problems with the car. The photos in listing were taken to hide the armrests that were ripped off and glued and duck taped back on. One of the windows also didn’t work. Those were just what I found. When I went and spoke to the manager of the dealership he wasn’t willing to give me any lower price to fix any problems or fix the problems of the vehicle, all he said was that, “ he’s driven worse, and if I’m not satisfied I don’t have to buy it.” This is after I drove 2 hours to come purchase the car and had all of my paperwork already filled out. DON’T SHOP HERE!

TERRIBLE! Buyer beware

I bought my 2018 Jeep Renegade in March. It had 6 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. Corey, the salesperson was incredibly kind and easy to work with. The finance manager was overbearing, talkative (the process took over 2.5 hours) and tried to trick me into financing through an outside bank. When I said no to that, he tried to have me finance the car for 6 years instead of 5. I said no to that too. Everything was fine for a year until the serpentine belt snapped in my car after only 21,000 miles on it and exactly one year old. The service department there had terrible customer service and did not provide me with any explanations for why, how long it would take to fix, or provide me with the loaner vehicle that is guaranteed under my factory warranty. They “fixed” the problem, replaced the belt that next week and sent me on my way. One month later, yesterday, my Jeep’s coolant warning light comes on, my AC turns hot, my car slows down, and I manage to get off the interstate to an advanced auto parts. The Jeep was out of coolant, overheated, smoke rolling out of the hood and the serpentine belt is hanging from the bottom of the Jeep again. I had to have it towed to Rod Hatfield’s in Winchester. I call the next morning and was rudely dismissed by the woman working at the front desk of the service department. She called herself the manager... that’s not confirmed. It probably will never be confirmed because you can’t actually get a hold of a General manager as they have no voicemail or extension (according to the sales department). I’ve yet to be updated on the status of my vehicle but when it is “fixed” it’s probably going to find itself on a lot somewhere and I will be cutting my losses at Rod Hatfield’s. The customer service AFTER you purchase a vehicle is terrible. The facility is dirty and not well maintained. No one I have spoken with except for “Nick” in the service department has been professional. I would definitely go elsewhere when purchasing a new, used, or at all functioning vehicle.

Careless service department forgets oil

Brought in our 2019 cherokee for oil change and rotation and it was a total waste of time. Arrived home to find a damaged wheel/rim from them removing the tire for a flat repair. This led me to relize they didnt rotate tires. They claimed they didnt see the order as it was on a 2nd page! Wow Felt I better check the oil and what do you know it was below the safe zone of the dipstick. Beware of this service center.

2018 pickup truck

Very friendly when I went in. But told me that I didn't meet requirements for discounts. Wouldn't even try to sell me a pickup unless it was full price. I was told that I would get discount before I went there

Service

On 6/23/18 we purchased a 2009 Nissan 370Z from Rod Hatfield in Winchester, KY. The car was in excellent condition with only 55,000 miles on it. When we were driving from one of their locations to another to sign paperwork, I noticed the AC was not working. The dealership assured me that they would repair the AC if we brought the vehicle up the following week. As planned my son drove the car up to leave It at the dealership for repair and I drove my vehicle so we had a way home as we live 2 hours away. When we arrived we were told that they would look at the car and let us know within an hour of what the plan would be. We were then told that it would take 5 hours to repair the AC and the guy that does the work is on vacation so we would have to bring the car back the following week. As planned, we took the car back to the dealership. The job was supposed to be completed in 1 day instead it took almost a week. We were excited to pick the car up on 7/16, as we were told everything was repaired and ready to go. My husband drove my son up to get the car. The dealership stated that they would fill the gas tank up for all the inconvenience. On arrival the car was on empty so my husband went in to discuss the matter with the manager. One of the sales guys got in the truck with my husband and they proceeded to wait for my son to pull out, as they were going to follow his to the gas station, with the gas card. When my son started to pull out the front driver tire fell off causing significant damage to the car. The police were called so an accident report could be completed. Rod Hatfield agreed that they were liable for the damages. The car was towed to Teds auto body shop and was left there to be repaired. On 7/27/18 the dealership had the car delivered to our home. We were not home but was told by Al, the owners brother that the car “looks great”. When I arrived home to look at the vehicle I was shocked by the appearance of the car. I reached out to Al and he said I already paid 5000$. He said he would reach out to Teds and get back with me Monday which was yesterday. He will not take my calls or respond to my text. Teds is stating that they did what Al at Rod Hatfield told them to do.

they don’t keep word

They won’t stand behind their deals. If they promise to do things to car you trade for you better make dang sure it’s done before you trade. Bad service
