Meet Richard Maupin

This is my second experience with Allen Cook at Royal Volvo and both have been 5 Star experiences! Not only do they sell quality cars, but they are quality people.

I actually enjoyed purchasing a new car at Royal Volvo. Richard Maupin was excellent to work with and was very knowledgeable about all the finer points of the car.

We just purchased our 5th vehicle from Royal Automotive group. We keep going back to this dealership -- everyone (from sales, to financing, to service!) is professional, helpful, and friendly! Without hesitation, we would highly recommend Royal Automotive to our family and friends!

My boyfriend and I were on our way to Kentucky from Alabama on a road trip. Our car died and we found ourselves at this dealership. We were frazzled and desperate, but these guys dealt with our situation beautifully. David and Richard were so sweet and helpful and Sammy worked to get us the best deal possible. They put us in a new car that was in our price range and perfect for what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great car buying experience.

Visited Royal Automotive to test drive a new XC60 and XC40. Met Richard, and we test drove both together. Richard was very personable and knew both vehicles inside and out. I felt very comfortable talking with him. In other words, I didn't feel like I was pressured about anything at all. I had decided on the XC60, but I didn't know what I wanted on it and how much I wanted to spend. The next day I was out getting tires on my son's car when Richard called and said that Royal just received a "barely" used XC60 (less than 2 months old) pretty much fully loaded. Richard was excited because of the great price Royal was willing to sell it for and wanted me to look it over and test drive it. Richard than drove the vehicle to where I was and we took it for a test drive while my son's car was being taken care of. Talk about service! Needless to say I couldn't pass up this deal and bought it the next day. The whole process was smooth and easy. I would definitely recommend buying a Volvo from Royal Automotive! Tim

Experience from initial visit to delivery of the exact car that I wanted was excellent. Richard Maupin kept me updated every step of the way while my car was build, shipped and delivered. He is always available for any questions regarding the car.

I bought a used car from Royal and asked before purchase finalized if I could take it for independent inspection. I was told no. It turned out to be a piece of crap totally overvalued and 9 months later I got $4000 less than I paid in a trade in to the same dealership. If I had not gotten such exceptional service from my two sales reps on my second new car purchase I would have driven to another city to do business with Volvo. Nobody likes to be taken advantage of and that it exactly what happened. The Royal Automotive that has been such a fine part of our community is not what it used to be. Sad.
