Toyota of Batavia

We had been a customer of Toyota Batavias for several years and recently went in to purchase a car for my daughter as well as referring her friend to the dealership. When we got there Leon our salesperson acted as though he couldn’t be bothered. He wasn’t willing to work with us at all. My daughters friend asked to test drive a Toyota Rav 4 Prime that they had come in and Leon told him “no” because they have people come from out of state and they don’t want miles on the vehicles. That’s bad business. Needless to say he lost 4 loyal Toyota customers. I hope it was worth it. Just plain greedy!!!

We saw the vehicle we wanted online & were pleasantly surprised at how simple the buying process was! Jason Palmer was our salesman he was honest & focused on us.

Repair: wanted $139 to “diagnose” problem,sounded like my DR. I already knew the problem. I smelled a rip off and cancelled. These independent dealers think the repairmen are worth $200 per hour let alone inflated part prices. You can not buy a headlamp plastic cover alone, must buy whole assembly at approx. $140 plus labor, no wonder Toyota is more value in junk parts than you get in trade in!

Went there for one specific used car they had in stock. I bought that car at the price and finances that were discussed when I first saw the car. NO hidden anything!!! I test drove the car before repairs and cleaning were done and they did SO much to the car before I picked it up I was so happy!! Great, honest people...I know I know but they really are! Cheers!

Staff was very helpful. No high pressure sales. Salesmen was willing to work with what I had financially to align me with the right vehicle. Nice relaxing environment to car shop.

Overall good experiance,knew what I wanted when I came there Steve stayed on track didn't try and talk me into something else,the whole process went smooth.

Steve Schaefer gave us a great car buying experience. He was knowledgeable, kept us informed, pleasant to work with and was not high pressure as other dealerships were. We visited three other dealerships in Rochester and did not have a good experience. We will definitely call Steve when we are are ready for a new car again. Thanks Steve

Very inviting facility with everyone working there is extremely friendly. I called Steve regarding a car on their lot and from there on it was like a breeze. No pressure at all at any point. I had done my homework but to be very honest even if I had walked in without any preparations it still would have been the same. Steve is great to work with. This is my second time buying a car from Steve at Toyota of Batavia.

Watch out for Batavia Toyota! Took my prius in there for yet another computer fix. Asked them to check my calipers, brakes and bearings because I had an intermittent squeal. First day they had my car, I was told they didn't find any brake problems or bearing problems but that I had a broken clamp on my exhaust and a loose heat shield. I was told they had to drop the entire exhaust to fix it; lie #1; watch a video in the least; they don't have to drop the exhaust!!!! Now my family has had a terrible event happen to where we are suddenly taking care of 2 little boys that just lost their father and that I was in a financial bind. They quote me 375+ for those repairs. My boyfriend welds but I thought with all that's going on, when will he have time, so I told them to go ahead since there were no other problems. I got that fixed and then receive a call the next day that my caliper is stuck and need a whole rear brake job for $700+!!!!!! I called the manager and he tells me, well they only looked at the front brakes.....I got my car back and told them they were liars and would never go to them again. Then I brought my car to my friend that has a shop (services state police vehicles too); she just called me and told me my brakes are in excellent shape (8 out of 10 on the pads) rotors are great, and one caliper runs about a degree hotter than the other. She asked me who told me this, then informed me that BATAVIA TOYOTA has done this to another person just this week alone. Now my parents go there and they are in their 80s which scares me for how many people they are lying to and stealing from...out right STEALING!
