Great car buying experience with Steve.

Very impressed. Steve found my car by searching nationally, locating it in Chicago. It is the perfect car for me and I appreciate his efforts.

Be aware & do homework

Put an offer on a 2015 BMW 320xi drive silver. Dealership would not let me go and get a pre-sales inspection done on the car prior to purchase. Be aware.

Nope!

Let me start with the positive: - Facility is great and they have some great cars on the lot - All of the cars were exceptionally clean and most you would never know are used - The salesman (Tony) was a genuinely nice guy that I enjoyed talking with. The rest was not so good. First - I came up from 90 mins away to test drive a BMW and an Infiniti. I liked that the BMW had lower miles and was a year newer with a maintenance package. I was planning to pay cash and expected that I would need a bank check, but to my surprise they would take a personal check (I guess that's not so bad!). I was willing to negotiate on price for the BMW along with my trade. I had done all research ahead of time and I knew exactly what the numbers should look like (values were done by VIN not general estimated). They tried to make me pay sticker price several times. I told them what I wanted and expected to negotiate slight variances and told them I was not coming back unless it was to leave with a car, it was a 90 mins drive. They said they could work out a deal and would call in the morning with some numbers. The next day comes and they don't have any numbers to discuss because they want to see my trade and drive it. Mind you it was there the day before and I expected that this is what would be done - but they didn't. OK, I told them I was going to be extremely irritated if they wasted my time. I was reassured that we would both be happy. I drove up the next afternoon and give them an offer, which they counter with basically a full sticker price offer. Told them no immediately. Try again. Then the sales manager (Dan) says he'd love to make a deal but he can't do the numbers I'm asking for - so I said then counter. Counters with essentially the same offer, although he somehow 'thought' it was different. I came up in the offer price and he kept trying to make the math work out to full price again. After a while arguing (and being told I was completely unreasonable and I wouldn't have driven back if that wasn't the car that I absolutely loved) I said "are you going to bicker with me or actually make a counter offer?" He came down $100. I grabbed my checkbook and walked out. That was insulting and they intentionally wasted my time that day. That was the frustrating part because I was always very clear if they couldn't make the numbers work - don't waste my time. I would have been fine not returning the next day. As I was leaving another dealer I had spoken to happened to call me and it was perfect timing. I drove straight over, test drove the car and put a deposit down. Picked it up the next day. I'm ecstatic about my INFINITI Q60 convertible!!

Customer service

They sold us a 2013 BMW 328i convertible. Without our knowledge, it had a front left tire from a different manufacture that the other tires and which BMW does not recommend matching with the other 3. They also gave us no Owners Manual, was promised one by manager Dan King, it never came so weeks later I asked where it was and got the runaround. Finally I went back to the dealership again and Mr. King, in a totally insolent manner, told me I had "cussed him out" the last time and he was not going to get a manual for us. This guy is an incredible jerk and undoubtedly knew the car had a bad tire because he is the one who goes to auction to buy these cars and needs to know everything about the ones he buys. NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE SLEAZY AND UNTRUSTWORTHY.

Buyers remorse at Vaughn

We were totally disappointed with our buying experience at VMGp. This vehicle had major mechanical problems that were discovered after the sale. The Gold Star certified warranty covers very little to nothing on any major repairs. The GM refused to discuss any solutions to our $1,500.00 repair bill after the sale. He was extremely rude & lacks any understanding of true customer service. We would not recommend Vaughn Motors to any family member or friends. Please don't buy there.

Did not meet expectations

BMW 328i convertible was sold to us with no Users Manual, no mats and a virtually emty gas tank. No attempt was made to how any systems of the car operated except hoe to put the roof up and down. No explanation of what caution lights meant. Hi
