Affected vehicles include model-year 2021-23 Chrysler Pacifica minivans and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs; model-year 2021-22 Dodge Durango SUVs; model-year 2022-23 Jeep Compass, Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer SUVs, and Ram ProMaster fleet vehicles; and model-year 2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 trucks. The radio software in these vehicles may prevent the rearview camera signal from connecting to the infotainment screen, thus preventing an image from appearing, decreasing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
As a fix, dealers will update the radio software for free. Owner notification letters will be sent Aug. 2, but those with further questions can contact Chrysler, Jeep and Ram parent automaker Stellantis at 800-853-1403 (Stellantis’ number for this recall is 66B), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
