Steady Cruise: 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Priced From $57,900

All-new for the 2024 model year, the so-called 250 series Toyota Land Cruiser was a major shift for the nameplate, dropping its base price from the high five-figures to the high $50,000s. And for 2025, its second year on sale, the Land Cruiser’s price creeps up just $500, to $57,900 (all prices include the $1,450 destination fee). The loaded $76,000 First Edition trim level from 2024 has timed out, but most of its equipment is now available in a Premium Package available on the confusingly named uplevel Land Cruiser trim. Otherwise, the off-roader is unchanged for 2025.

Powertrain Specs and MPG
Every 2025 Land Cruiser is powered by Toyota’s i-Force Max turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. Between the gas engine and an electric motor tucked into the eight-speed automatic transmission, the i-Force Max generates 326 horsepower and a tremendous 465 pounds-feet of torque. That’s 55 hp less than the previous-generation Land Cruiser’s normally aspirated 5.7-liter V-8 produced, but a meaningful increase of 64 pounds-feet of torque.
Full-time four-wheel drive with locking center and rear differentials is standard. The 2024 Land Cruiser’s EPA-rated fuel economy of 22/25/23 mpg city/highway/combined represents an increase of more than 50% in the city and combined cycles from the V-8 model’s figures. (Official EPA figures are not yet out for 2025, but they’re not expected to differ for the new model year.)
Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will arrive at dealerships later in October. The 1958 trim level starts at $57,900, and the Land Cruiser trim has a starting price of $63,900.

Safety Features and Trim Levels
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure steering assist, lane-centering steering, adaptive cruise control, road-sign recognition and automatic high beams. Toyota does not count blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert as part of the safety suite, but they are also standard.
Named for the year the Land Cruiser debuted in the U.S., the 1958 trim level has round LED headlights that are another retro touch. Its cloth seats fit the theme, but the entry-level SUV also boasts numerous features that were inconceivable in 1958: keyless entry and start, heated front seats, an integrated trailer-brake controller, a 7-inch display in the instrument panel, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and six speakers. For 2025, the Land Cruiser gets standard integrated liftgate lights that allow for better cargo area visibility when the liftgate is open.
The Land Cruiser trim level (or Land Cruiser Land Cruiser) adds an electronically disconnecting front anti-roll bar for greater suspension articulation off-road, as well as front, side and rear cameras for spotting obstacles. It also gets LED foglights with driver-adjustable color, rectangular LED headlights and a power liftgate. Luxury touches in the cabin include synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10-speaker sound system.
Aside from its unique skid plate, much of the equipment from the 2024 First Edition is included in the Premium Package available on the Land Cruiser Land Cruiser: a power moonroof, leather-trimmed seats, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, head-up display, digital rearview mirror and a center-console cool box.
