No 2007 Porsche Cayenne

It may not be a big deal to most people, but Porsche is trying its best not to confuse its customers by skipping the 2007 model year Cayenne SUV. If you’re in the market for a new Cayenne, don’t worry: The company is producing enough 2006 models through the end of the year to keep up with demand until an updated 2008 model debuts early next year. That ’08 Cayenne will feature some revisions, but won’t be an entirely redesigned model.

Porsche made the move so customers wouldn’t be confused with vehicles labeled 2007 on the same lot as 2008s that will look slightly different and will most likely feature new engines and prices. This decision also illustrates the fact that Cayenne sales are down significantly over the past two years.

If you are in the market for a Cayenne today, we suggest you check out the Titanium Edition introduced in June.
