As automakers continue to find new ways to support consumers, Nissan today announced that it’s extending its complimentary trial of its connected vehicle services system for customers with expired trials as well as those who currently have only the Select trial. The NissanConnect Services assistance system includes safety and security services like automatic crash notification, connection to roadside assistance and a variety of remote vehicle services available on the app.

The free trial was originally offered for a six-month period and Nissan is extending it by another three months. The automaker said customers eligible for the extension have been contacted via email; they can activate the extension through June 30.

Nissan also said its concierge service, which is currently available on some versions of the 2019 Altima and 2020 Titan, and will be expanded to others for the 2021 model year, can be used to help customers find nearby COVID-19 testing stations. The system provides live, 24-hour access to a concierge team available to assist owners with a variety of everyday tasks, such as modified pandemic-time grocery store hours, home workout routines and creative activities for children while families are sheltered in place.

In addition to these coronavirus-related services, Nissan is also offering customers three months of delayed payments and will cover payments for up to two additional months for those who qualify. The offer is good on select new Nissan models for customers who finance through NMAC, Nissan’s finance arm. Models excluded include model-year-2020 versions of the Versa sedan, GT-R supercar, Frontier pickup, 370 Z coupe, NV vans and the Armada SUV.

NMAC will also waive late fees; any late fees assessed on your account from March 13 through May 31 will be waived automatically. The automaker said that, to date, NMAC has assisted more than 280,000 existing Nissan owners due to the pandemic. Find more information, here
