Affected vehicles include model-year 2020-25 Giulias and Stelvios. The issue involves the printed circuit board and software for the rearview camera, which may contain defects that can cause the camera image to be inverted or blank, black or blue. A blank or distorted camera image reduces the driver’s visibility and increases the risk of a collision.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the radio and update the rearview camera software, as necessary, for free. Letters notifying owners of the issue are expected to be sent out Nov. 25, but those with further questions can contact the brand’s parent automaker Stellantis at 800-853-1403 (Stellantis’ designation for this recall is A2C), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
