Affected vehicles include model-year 2024 Nautilus SUVs. The panoramic and center displays may reboot as a result of an error with the multimedia module software, resulting in a blank screen. A blank instrument display prevents important information like the speedometer and warning lights from displaying, and a missing rearview camera image decreases the driver’s rear visibility; both increase the risk of a crash.
To fix the issue, the multimedia module software will be updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update for free. Ford will notify owners June 16, but those with further questions can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 (the number for this recall is 25C21), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
