CARS.COM — Now-defunct Pontiac was home to GM performance, and it produced some cool cars right before its demise, including the G8 sports sedan and Solstice sports car. However, one of its most iconic cars — the Fiero — was built decades earlier and lasted just a few model years.

Introduced as a 1984 model, the mid-engine two-seat Fiero initially came with a four-cylinder engine but was later offered with a 2.8-liter V-6. That’s the engine in Cars.com seller Dusty’s 1986 Fiero, which was the first model year to adopt the fastback-style roofline. This change considerably altered the Fiero’s look — especially in profile, where it more closely resembled a traditional sports coupe.

This Fiero is described as clean and original, and the photos seem to bear that out. There are just 62,000 miles on the odometer, according to the seller, and the various systems — air conditioning, power accessories and a stereo with a factory-installed subwoofer — are said to be in working order. Suspension improvements came in later Fieros, but the wedge-shaped styling has aged remarkably well — and it can be yours for $6,900.
