Land Rover Confirms Range Rover Evoque Convertible

Land Rover debuted an updated-for-2016 version of its popular Evoque compact SUV at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show, but the news doesn’t stop there. Today, the automaker put some very old rumors to rest in confirming that it would produce a convertible version of the Evoque.

Details are slim — even the teaser photo is wearing camo — but Land Rover said the droptop SUV will go on sale in 2016 and more details will be announced later this year. Aside from Jeep’s Wrangler, it will be the only convertible SUV on the market after Nissan canceled its unpopular, oddball Murano CrossCabriolet.
