How Much Is the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Think what you will about the Mach-E being branded a Mustang, but the electric SUV’s importance to Ford is undeniable. And with totals from 2024 tallied, the new argument might well be which is more important to the Blue Oval. In 2024, the Mustang Mach-E outsold its gas-burning, two-door namesake for the first time — and not by a little bit: The Mach-E beat the original pony car by 18%, and it’s looking to extend that lead in 2025 with a base price that drops $3,500, to $38,490 (all prices include $1,995 destination fee).

What’s New for the 2025 Mustang Mach-E?

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E is not only cheaper than its predecessor, but it boasts some substantial improvements, too. A heat pump, which is a more efficient means of managing interior temperature, replaces the previous Mach-E’s conventional climate control hardware. Also new for 2025 are a Sport Appearance Package that apes the aggressive look of the GT on the mid-level Premium trim and expanded charge-management options available from the vehicle’s touchscreen.

In addition, Ford’s BlueCruise semi-autonomous hands-free highway-driving tech is upgraded to the latest version, which adds automated lane changes. Every Mach-E buyer can sign up for a free 90-day trial period of the system, after which they’ll need to pay a subscription fee to keep it active. BlueCruise is $49.99 per month or $495 per year, or a one-time payment of $2,495 will activate it for the lifetime of the vehicle.

Safety Features and Trim Levels

As BlueCruise can be activated on any 2025 Mustang Mach-E, even the entry-level Select trim includes all of the necessary safety tech: forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, lane departure alert and steering assist, blind spot monitors, front and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, a driver-attention monitor, and front, side and rear parking sensors.

The Select rides on 19-inch wheels and features LED head- and taillights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and keyless entry and starting. Inside are synthetic leather upholstery, wireless phone charging, six speakers, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 15.5-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For a relatively small premium, the Premium adds a lot of goodies, including power-adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats; a heated steering wheel; a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and a power liftgate.

In addition to its added power, the GT includes most of the features from the Premium plus 20-inch wheels, adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, a unique front bumper and heated front sport seats.

Lastly, the Rally trim is intended for sideways attacks on dirt roads. To that end, it gets 19-inch wheels, a unique front end with integrated foglamps, aluminum underbody protection, dedicated tuning for its adaptive dampers and a rally-style rear spoiler. It also features a black roof and unique exterior graphics.

Powertrain Specs and Range

After upgrading to a more powerful rear motor for the 2024 model year, the Mustang Mach-E’s powertrains are unchanged for 2025. Two batteries are available: a 73-kilowatt-hour standard-range pack and an 88-kWh extended-range unit. Buyers can also opt for either a single motor on the rear axle or a dual-motor AWD setup, but only certain combinations of battery and drive configuration are available on each trim level.

The standard-range battery is only available on the entry-level Select and Premium trims and can be paired with either rear- or all-wheel drive. The extended-range pack is optional on the Select and Premium, but it’s only available with AWD on the Select. The only Mustang Mach-E to offer the extended-range battery and RWD is the Premium. On the GT and Rally, the big battery and AWD are standard.

With the small battery, the single-motor, rear-drive Mach-E makes 264 horsepower and 387 pounds-feet of torque. Ford says the range with this configuration is an estimated 260 miles (official EPA figures are not yet available for the 2025 model). With the larger battery, the rear-drive version puts out 272 hp and 387 pounds-feet and is the range champ of the family thanks to its 320-mile range.

With AWD, the small-battery Select and Premium generate 325 hp and 500 pounds-feet and have a range of 240 miles. Those trim levels with the extended-range pack make 370 hp and 500 pounds-feet of torque and can go 300 miles between charges.

The Mustang Mach-E GT matches the gas-burning Mustang GT’s output with its combined 480 hp, but its 600 pounds-feet of torque and all-wheel traction sling it from 0-60 mph in a claimed 3.8 seconds. The GT’s EPA-estimated range is 280 miles. Ford’s Performance Upgrade boosts torque output to 700 pounds-feet in the GT and is standard on the Rally. Ford says the upgrade allows the GT to hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. With a higher ride height and all-season performance tires, the Rally trails it by 0.1 second and will need to find a plug every 265 miles.
