Affected vehicles include model-year 2023-24 Pilots. The issue involves a loose ball bearing that may have fallen into the gap of a rotating part in the steering gearbox assembly during manufacturing. If a ball bearing falls into the gap of the rotating part, steering function may be lost, resulting in an increased risk of a crash or injury.
As a fix, dealers will replace the electric power steering rack for free.
