Ford Transit Connect Wagon a Work Compromise

Ford’s European work wagon, the Transit Connect, will land on U.S. shores this summer. While it’s predominantly a vehicle for businesses, there will be a wagon version with a second row of seats that can fit either two or three, for a total of four or five passengers. There is no third-row option, and the Transit is much smaller than a full-size Dodge Sprinter. So if you’ve seen “Jon & Kate Plus 8” load the sextuplets and twins into their Sprinter, don’t fantasize about getting a similarly large brood into a Transit.

If you’re a small-business owner who needs a work vehicle to haul family in a pinch, though, the second row of the wagon does fold up compactly to allow for some significant storage space. Check out a few more photos of the Transit Wagon below.
