Ford Recalls 144,000-Plus Maverick Trucks for Rearview Camera Malfunction
Ford has issued a recall affecting more than 144,000 Maverick pickup trucks over an issue with the rearview camera.

The recall applies to model-year 2022-24 Mavericks equipped with a Connected Touch Radio. According to Ford, the rearview camera image may freeze while the vehicle is in Reverse, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, Ford dealers will update the software for the Connected Touch Radio for free. Ford will notify owners Sept. 30, but those with further questions can contact Ford at 866-436-7332 (the automaker’s number for this recall is 24S59), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
