Easter’s Over, But You Can Still Hunt for Easter Eggs in Jeeps, Other Cars

Those TikTok teens (for better or worse) are at it again, though this time it’s not a corny dance to a Drake song. Instead, TikTok users suddenly are discovering that their Jeep vehicles have little “Easter eggs” — subtle, fun bits of design meant to elicit a smile or harken back to some piece of the iconic off-road brand’s storied history.

In the case of the original TikTok poster, it was the discovery of the “Ciao, baby!” spider under the refueling lid of a Jeep Renegade. Other users, in turn, have taken the audio of that original post and are showing off the Easter eggs on their Jeeps. It started with just the hidden animals but has expanded to include many other hidden gems.

Easter eggs like this aren’t exclusive to Jeeps, however. Many other brands under the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles umbrella also include them — the Chrysler Pacifica displays the evolution of its minivans on a rubber mat in a storage tray, and the Dodge Challenger has the outline of a Challenger on its front windshield.

Other brands hide Easter eggs, too, though not to the extent that FCA brands do. The Jaguar E-Pace SUV has the outline of a jaguar cub following an adult jaguar, and the Volvo XC90 hides an itsy bitsy spider on the underside of a third-row storage bin lid. Tesla prefers more functional Easter eggs, hiding things like holiday themed “dances” and the ability to make your car sound like it’s farting (cool?) in its infotainment system — oh, and the volume on some of its cars goes to 11 … see, it’s one louder.

Here are some of our favorite automotive Easter eggs that we’ve discovered in recent years:
