2023 Mercedes-EQ EQE Sedan Brings the Fight to Tesla, Starts at $76,050

The 2023 Mercedes-EQ EQE Sedan (not to be confused with the EQE SUV) made a splash when it debuted in late 2021. The German luxury brand’s second all-electric sedan, the EQE builds upon the foundation laid by the bigger EQS to target the Tesla Model 3. Now we know what it will cost: When it goes on sale, the EQE Sedan will start at $76,050 for the base 350 Plus variant (all pricing includes $1,150 destination charge and excludes any federal, state or local tax credits).

3-Tier Luxury Ladder Provides Sleek Visuals
The 2023 EQE Sedan will come in three variants: the single-motor, rear-wheel-drive 350 Plus and the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive 350 4Matic and more powerful 500 4Matic. Each variant also will offer Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle trims.
The base Premium trim level includes a 12.8-inch organic light-emitting diode touchscreen, heated seats, 64-color ambient lighting, Burmester premium audio and a panoramic moonroof. The 500 4Matic Premium adds exclusive rear-wheel steering and leather upholstery. Standard tech and safety features include a navigation suite with Electric Intelligence (which displays charging stations along the route and energy calculations), lane departure steering assist, blind spot monitoring and a Parking Package with a 360-degree camera system. Moving up to the Exclusive trim upgrades the navigation system with augmented reality and adds a Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control, stop-and-go assist, active blind spot assist and lane-centering steering. The range-topping Pinnacle adds luxury features including four-zone climate control, head-up display and a driver attention monitor.
The EQE Sedan comes standard with a 90.6-kilowatt-hour battery pack that allows the EV to get up to 305 miles of range, according to the automaker. Range estimates for the 350 4Matic and 500 4Matic have not yet been revealed.
