The 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 follows the path set by its Electrified G80 sibling by providing an all-electric version of its familiar gas-powered counterpart. The brand has revealed that the SUV will start at $66,975 (all prices include a $1,125 destination charge).

With the exception of a new grille panel, the 2023 Electrified GV70’s exterior styling largely mirrors that of the gas-powered GV70. Genesis claims it made this decision to help retain familiarity for buyers who might be reluctant to make the switch to a radically restyled offering.

The interior is familiar, too. The base Advanced trim comes with a large 14.5-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital instrument panel and a wireless phone charging pad. Other standard equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats, leather seating surfaces, aluminum trim, a power hands-free liftgate, power-folding mirrors, 20-inch wheels, the Genesis digital key, a panoramic moonroof and bidirectional charging capability. Standard safety features include forward collision alert, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure steering assist, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist and an advanced rear occupant alert system.

Moving up to the Prestige variant adds Nappa leather seats, imitation leather on the dashboard, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a head-up display, a Lexicon premium audio system, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, rear door shades and active road noise control.

Performance for the all-wheel-drive 2023 Electrified GV70 comes from two 160-kilowatt electric motors paired with a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack.
