2020 Genesis G90 Refresh Makes a Great Luxury Car Even Better
Luxury automakers are in the middle of an ever-escalating war when it comes to grilles; each brand appears intent on one-upping the other with bigger, more outlandish designs. With Genesis’ refresh of its full-size G90 for 2020, debuting at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, the luxury sedan is now the undisputed King of the Grille. But there’s a lot more to this car than its oversized, home-plate-shaped grille.

The G90’s cabin was already nice, and Genesis has made it even better for 2020. First-rate cabin finishes include open-pore wood and acres of leather practically wherever you look. The interior’s overall theme isn’t dramatically different, but it’s been improved in subtle ways with updated buttons and knobs that add to the elegance.
The G90’s rear-seat continues to offer stretch-out comfort with plenty of legroom and a comfy seating position. There’s not, however, much foot space underneath the front seats for backseat passengers.
The G90 has always been a great luxury value and that’s unlikely to change when the 2020 version goes on sale in December. The flagship luxury car class is about a lot more than value, however, and Genesis still has an uphill battle convincing shoppers it’s worthy of consideration. Those who do will find a lot to like.
