CARS.COM — The Hyundai Ioniq Electric is a complicated car under some complicated circumstances in a very complicated market. Available now only in parts of California, the Ioniq Electric has a distinctive look that’s more appealing than a lot of efficient cars, with an attractive smooth, glossy front end in place of a conventional grille. It’s about a foot longer than the Chevrolet Bolt EV, but it also has only an EPA-estimated 124-mile range compared with the Bolt’s 238 miles — then again, it also costs about $7,000 less.
