2017 Audi A4 Review: Photo Gallery
CARS.COM — When the latest generation of Audi’s A4 luxury sedan arrived in the U.S., it wasn’t immediately evident what had changed in terms of its outward appearance. Beyond its wider grille, new headlights and taillights, and extended length, updates were the picture of subtlety — but subtle in an elegant way not subtle in a boring way.

Inside, the 2017 A4 — a contender in Cars.com’s upcoming 2017 Luxury Sedan Challenge — received an extensive overhaul. In addition to more cabin space, the sedan boasts revised switches, multimedia layout, gauge cluster featuring Audi’s new Virtual Cockpit and tabletlike Multi Media Interface display, along with an upscale new steering wheel and dash-spanning air vents.
Under the hood, the Challenge test car had a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 252 horsepower and 273 pounds-feet of torque, sending power to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Scuba Blue metallic-colored sedan with Atlas Beige/Black interior wore 18-inch five-spoke wheels and high-gloss aluminum window surrounds, among the features of the $8,600 Prestige Package.
Additional features included xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, eight-way power adjustable front seats with four-way driver lumbar adjustment, LED ambient interior lighting, a power sunroof, leather seating surfaces, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 40/20/40-split, folding back seat. The total came to $52,325, including a $950 destination charge.
