Nissan has always positioned its Maxima as the brand’s sportiest sedan; a 2016 redesign affirms its place in the automaker’s lineup. The 2016 Nissan Maxima debuted at the 2015 New York International Auto Show with an updated look, a redesigned 3.5-liter V-6 and a new continuously variable automatic transmission.
Inside, Nissan says it redesigned the Maxima’s interior to offer a driver-focused cockpit, and the uplevel Platinum model gets extras like leather-appointed seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and power rear window sunshade.
