CARS.COM — The BMW 640 is a bit of the best of both worlds in that it offers high-performance handling and cruise-worthy comfort. That’s in addition to elegant, swoon-worthy styling that is like the vehicular incarnation of a tuxedo-clad James Bond dryly ordering a shaken-not-stirred martini. For the 2016 model year, subtle updates have only improved on the suaveness of this big, brawny luxury coupe.
New full-LED headlights, LED fog lights and a restyled lower apron freshen up the face of the 6 Series. Our test car added the newly available Black Accent Package that amped up the 007 factor with a white-on-black tuxedo effect of gloss-black grille bars and trim pieces and blackened tailpipes against its Alpine White paintjob. Inside is a richly appointed cabin with lush brown leather seats, dramatically contoured and bolstered, and adorned with authentic stitching and contrast piping.
The car we got up close and personal with came to an as-tested price of nearly $90,000 including a destination charge. But you can admire the BMW 640 for free and from afar by checking out the photo gallery below.
