In the scope of large three-row luxury SUVs, the body-on-frame 2014 Infiniti QX80 is a fairly contemporary ute with a cargo area configured more like a crossover’s than a truck-based SUV’s. The second and third rows fold flat without the seats having to be removed; that’s better than the 2014 Lexus LX 570 in which you have to awkwardly fold the third-row seats up to the side of the cargo area.
The 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row is tall enough to fit both strollers we test at the same time — a large and small one — and separately, two golf bags laid flat with room for more to stack on top. There’s a respectable 95.1 cubic feet of maximum luggage space compared to its competitors like the Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX 570 and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class when the second and third rows are folded. See how well the above items and more fit into the cargo area in the animation below.
